You know , pretty much every best, favorite, what should I get thread is answered by "I'm currently playing ______ and they're best I've found" kinda thing.

Anyone playing gear that they dont really like ?

I have either because it didnt bother me enough to change or didnt have/want to spend the money on something else.

One time I just spent too much on a new set and just had to take my lumps and play with it for a while.

Is everyone really playing the best they have found ? :)

I am currently playing a R9 4 wood that I just can't seem to hit a bad shot with. If I have a chance to hit it, I will. But I'm sure after I do hit that bad shot that makes me end up with a triple bogey, I will be singing a different tune! But as of now, it really is the best fairway wood I have ever played. The best irons I've ever played with were my i5's that I got rid of when I decided to go ho-ing. I regret that decision big time.

irons, driver and putter i basically really like. My irons and driver are untouchable, in fact i now own two G15 drivers

i've never been able to find a hybrid i consistently like but have a baffler pro 18 that doesn't get a lot of use. And i'm not in love with my wedges but i don't know if i could do better without getting fully custom ones

I love my equipment. Everything has been in there for a real long time. But a new era has begun and based on the testing I will love my new stuff too... time will tell though. The hybrid and woods will remain for now.

I'm right there right now. I ordered a combo set of i15/s56 irons about 2 months ago and have even had them sent back to ping for a reshaft and still hate them.

Fortunately, I never got rid of the AP2s so I have something to fall back on.

Funny this comes up as I was thinking of driving down to my local shop as they have a "trade in trade up" deal for cally going on. However, I really don't want to lose the money that I just sunk into these and that would tie me to something cally and while the razr x forged look good and feel good I am not 100% sold.

I don't like my Vokey Spin MIlled's very much, Looking at maybe, something forged, or wedgeworks for a something a bit more customizable. It's frustrating with wedges when you walk into a store that all they have is TTDG s300's.

Probably doesn't help i have had them for a full year, grooves a little worn down. Also, I am SOOOOO tired and destroying golf balls with anything beyond a half swing with these, i want C-C grooves, I used 2 balls for 9 holes yesterday and they are basically unsuitable for play again. ruined. At least i can practice with them...

I bought a set of AP1s in February really looking forward to a great season of golf. I dont really have any complaints. Last week I found a set of Macgregor MT Pro M blades 3-pw for $90. Sure they are two different animals but I am really enjoying the Macgregors. I wish I would have found them first because now I have a set of barely used AP1s not being used.

It took me a lot of tinkering but I finally found my set of sticks I love and am comfortable with. I think I can finally say that I'm done hoing for awhile, lol.

Love driver Titleist 910 D2
Love irons Mizuno MP68/63 combo with matrix ozik program 130 HD shafts, pure!
Wedges not so sure, currently TM Xft's, good accuracy but spin is a bit lacking

Not to point out the obvious, but the clubs I don't like aren't in the bag.
For me, every club in my quiver are "homeruns". Fellows in arms - compadres.

I'm perfectly happy with my clubs. Just need to fine tune the game a bit.

Both my irons and driver I love and are going nowhere.My wedges im pretty happy with although the 56 may get replaced at some point.

Only clubs im not fussed about are my fairway wood (strong 4) reason being that the fairway wood is generally only in the bag for longer courses so get no practice with it on my home track.Lastly the putter is in danger of being replaced,through no fault of its own to be honest but more because im a terrible putter and hopeful a change in putter style might do me some good!

Got a 60 degree VR wedge...and just can't seem to like it. But when you're a kid paying for your own equipment through your job. You have to be a little patient to buy new clubs.

I have a Burner '09 3Wood that I don't like at all. The head is too shallow for me and I tend to hit it very high on the clubface. Once in a while I hit it right, and the ball takes off, but most of the time I can't get a decent result.
This goes as far that most of the time I don't even have a 3Wood in my bag anymore and rather lay up.

I figure I need a 4Wood with a high head like the older cobra's but they don't make them as 4Woods.

Found a Superfast TP(black),cheap at GS, easily the longest straightest driver I've ever hit. Also, picked up i15 irons a while ago and they are amazing. Perpetually looking for a 3 wood. But set with driver irons and wedges for now.

Driver: Yes, staying in there. 2h: Hit or miss. I was hating it recently, then I smashed it onto a par 3 green today, which is always rated as the hardest hole on the course, where bogey is a perfectly playable score. Finally made par with the 2h, it'll stay, for now. Irons: Don't have the 690's in yet, the i15's I wasn't happy with at all. Wedges: Yes. Putter: Looking to pick up a 2.6 or BB26 CS putters just work for me. Ball: Yes. Give me 2 months and I won't like any of it lol.

It's a love hate relationship for me. I hit the Zing2 irons very well(or as well can be expected for an eleven capper), but I want to replace them for something that looks better in the bag. The rest of my bag I am very happy with though. 909D2 is a fairway finder. R9 fairway is great off of the deck and tee. My Vokey wedges are good around the green, even though I use the Zing2 sand wedge for most bunker shots(it is criminal how easy it is to get out of any bunker regardless of type of sand). Doc 15.5 long putter works great for me and has playing partners shaking there heads when I roll in almost all of my putts from six feet in and the bomb two or three times a round.

Love it - maybe???? Just splurged and bought RazrX Tours after previously played MP62s and MP30s and Pro2's for the last 10 years or so. Certainly easier to hit and they go high straight and long. Like all my other clubs so far. Want to get to low single digits - thought making the long game easier was smarter. What took me so long?

I love my fairway woods - R9 3 & 5 woods. Really hit them well from the tee, they're my go to clubs when the driver is playing up and on short par4s.

Really like my Callaway X Tour wedges 52 & 58

I have two putters, I LOVE my custom Mil Spec, but only really cos of the custom job. My SeeMore FGB-M is fantastic. From close in it feels almost like cheating. My putting has improved so much with this putter it's just not funny!

New hybrid which is a good club 2009 TM 19*, nice from the tee, and easy to hit from the fairway.

Driver is ok - my misses are mostly right, so I have it set slightly left 910D2 with Rip 60 S. When its hit well I love it, I'm just not as consistent as I'd like.

Now my irons.....Bridgestone J36 Combos. I really like the CBs and the Blades, but hate the PCs with a passion. I dread having a shot of 170 meters to 180 meters 5 or 4 iron. Now if they were CBs no problem, I just don't like the chunkier look/feel of the PCs. Am currently looking at AP2s, MP53 or 63, and hit the Cleveland CG16Tours yesterday and they felt really nice. My ideal scenario would be to find another set of z101s again. Sold two sets last year and have regretted it ever since! Should have just had them restarted from the S300 to something a bit higher launching!

Don't really like my hybrid, have never really found one that I like. I think it has more to do with shaft issues though. Or it may just be the chop swingin it!

I'm loving my blades this year. Played with callaways X-16's for the last 7 years and now playing with a used set of mp 32's. They are in great shape for their age and I am hitting them fantastic for now. Lol. Putter is a different story. Had a ping craz-e for last three years and went to a Cameron Newport. Needless to say the ping is Goo.g back in the bag tomorrow. The Cameron will be on the bst this week. I hate it lol.

Adams 9064ls driver.......absolutely splitting the fairways for last 2 years with this club
Titleist AP1 5-GW hit these very well, very forgiving, but I can make them fade or draw easily as well
Adams Pro Gold 3 and 4 hybrids.......best clubs in my bag..... hits it high with soft landings thinking of getting the 5 too
Cleveland CG15 54 and 58 degree wedges.............. as good of wedges as I've ever played especially like 'em right around the greens

The fairly decents:
Adams 16 degree 4 wood it's okay I'm trying to hunt down an Adams 9032ti 16 degree seem very scarce
The Putter ......................... lately been changing putters often as my shorts............I really need to just pick one and PRACTICE!!!!!

Never say that. It is ALWAYS the fault of the club, ball, wind, weather, bad green, fairway, guy 3 fairways over was distracting, the wildlife, river, creek, parking lot, plane flying over, fry vat exploding in the club house. Anything. It is NEVER your fault.
