Went to demo day to confirm my love for S56's

but the Cally RAZR X Tour turned my head

Well, I went to the local demo day to finally hit some S56 clubs. I play i10s, but really liked the S57s when I pulled the trigger last time. I thought the S56 would be calling my name. Went to the range and really did like the S56. Was ready make the change right then. But then I wondered over to the Cally tent. Hit some RAZR X tours and loved them, solid, stupid easy to hit. I tried the RAZR forged but was not as impressed. I then figured maybe should play the field, so I tried out the Taylormade CBs and MBs, not love at all. Went back to hit the S56 another time, again they felt great but not as great as the Callys. I try to be monogamous, but I hate it when something like this happens. Now I even have thoughts about Mizzy 53s or the JPX 800 pros late at night. I hate this, I was faithful to my Hogans for 15 years, now all this temptation abounds.
Any comparison thoughts on the S56 vs RAZR X tour vs. MP53s vs JPX 800 pros?

[size=2]I went through the same thing at a demo day roughly a month ago. I went over to the Callaway tent and I did not know why (I'm no Callaway fan). I hit the Razr X Tour Forged irons and was blown away. I was crushing every shot I hit. Working the ball every which way with ease. On top of that, they were very forgiving. Needless to say, I was impressed. However, they are a pretty penny. I don't have the money for a set like that.[/size][size=2]I don't think there's much separation between the four options you mentioned (although I really like the MP53). I would make sure you try out all the options and establish a list of favorites and compare them on a launch monitor. Pick the one you like the best - the one that fits your eye the best. Last but not least, get fitted![/size]

I own both S56s and Razor Tours. Guess these irons were "stupid easy" to hit I would or should be under par all the time and I am not. That said the Tours are more forgiving.

Hard10 - How do you have your S56 and RAZRs set up? What is your preference and how do you compare the two? While I have not fine-tuned the shaft set-up for the RXT, they seem like they might spin more ie balloon more than the S56s. What are your thoughts?

Coming off hip replacement in November and having my HC balloon to 18 (if lucky) and owning Tour issue 4-gw CB2s standard LLL Flt PX 5.5 and 3-pw i5s WRX DNG S300 D-2 I needed irons like a social disease. I knew the reason for the bloated HC was obviously no hip rotation and lots of pain. Fixed and rehabbing I started hitting balls in Feb. and for the heck of it demoed the S56s. I am at Carls Golfland where you can hit balls outside in 10* weather. Hit them time and time again very well albiet it with the no pressure grooved range swing. I won,t go into the why but I wanted to treat myself and picked up a 3-pw set here from Chad on this forum.
I traded the CB2s+ cash for the Razr Tours because I thought they would be a nice 2 nd set. Since I had them I sent my Pings to Ping to get 1/2in extensions and D-4 swing wieghted along with off course needed new grips due to work done. They have the KBS Tour Still and the RAZRs are standard 4-gw with DNG R300.
I have taken both irons out on the course and hit them side by side. Distances are pretty similar. Trajectory in mid/short irons the same and the Razr long irons a shade higher.Feel wise the Razrs feel softer except for dead center sweet spot hits ,but how often is that,LOL. Some days I felt I hit the ball straighter with the S56s but with a bit of curve if that makes any sense.

I have aways to go to get game back being semi crippled 3 years so for today I will play the Razrs because the ground is always wet due to crap spring. I can see the 56s coming out in dryer conditions. Of course, and I know this sounds horrible, I could trade either set in a heartbeat not because thier no good but because I could for another pretty face.
