Hello all, I've been gaming Epon 302's with Nippon SPB's for 6 months and 302's with Matrix Programs for 6 months... love the look and feel of the Epons. Recently though, i've been gaming my old Mizuno MP-37 blades and i've been playing the best golf of my life. I'm a better ball striker with the MP-37's than I am with the Epon 302's and I believe it's because, oddly enough, the 37's have more offset than the 302s. I'm a handsy player so I do tend to flip at impact. So, this got me thinking... if I had a set of irons with even more offset than my Mizuno MP-37's, there's a possibility I may improve my ball striking even more...

I'm thinking something one step up in terms of offset and forgiveness from the Epon 302's.
Something along the lines of the TM Burner Forged or USA Titleist AP1 or AP2's.

I swing hard - extremely hard/fast.... med smooth and steep. I hit the ball very high with a lot of spin, typically.

Had to reply because after 6 years playi.g the mp37 I have swictched to tc510. Im on the fence because I like the distance of the fourteens but Im more consistent with the mp 37. might mix and match. Hands down the long irons are easier to hit with the fourteens. what did you end up going with?

502s felt too soft, mushy and we're short for me. ONOFF 2011 forged are the best irons I've hit. Soft, good distance and for me with C-tapers mid high.,

u can dismiss the onoffs , the vg3s and the fourteens.

the 302 are nothing like the yamahs really. the non tours are more offset than the tours and they are superb clubs and u wont overpower them or hit moon balls i assure you
id think the 2011 or 2010 would be MUCH better suited than the current release, MUCH MUCH Better. think lower higher flight , higher COG

THE OLDER FOURTEEN TC 1000 U SHOULD TAKE a very serious look at as well. they are blade cavities, YES. a notceable degree of off set but they hit the ball very low indeed. they are endo forged (they are the oly model that is til this yrs) and the feel has to be played to be believed.
smaller compact heads thin sole med top line. shaft these babies with NS blue and u wont be complaining!

miura cb1006 is another u shud take a good hard look at. america didnt get them we did, i swear by them.

have a look at he new srixons as well, these are the best of the new models ive seen. player cavities?

these are the latest shape that tourstage yamaha and srixon have put out the cavity is amlsot identical, but these i think would keep the ball down abit better.

personally tho.... id be more inclined to go the cb1006 or the tc1000 in all honesty
