Any modern metal woods have classic shape?

love the old look, need modern materials

Frankly, metal woods should have been banned when taylormade came out with those dimple drivers in the 90's. However, I'm looking for the old school look in metal driver (round T Penna shape) and pear shape style 3,4 fairway metal woods. I've got the blue colored Great big (?) Bertha 1 and 3, and they're traditional shaped, but I fear they no longer measure up to today's techno standards. What modern metal club do you guys use that retains some traditional shape, look?? Anything old school out there?

Mizuno players drivers generally adhere to a very classic shape. The MP600 was beautiful...... never really held the MP630 to compare. I like the look of the Cleveland TL310 as well with the smaller head

Titleist 909F, Callaway Diablo tour and Ping i15 are about as close as your going to get to pear shape nowadays.

Since you are a Callaway guy, check CPO for the Diablo octane tour and diablo edge tour fairways. They are having good deals right now, so I hear.

Titleist 910 D3 and 910F for current releases. Some nice older Titleist are 905T driver and 906 fairways.

Mizuno and Titliest. TEE's FW Woods are pretty simple and oldschool looking as well.

Titleist does "pear profile" better than most. Old school drivers like the 983K have enough game to keep up with modern equivalents - the 976R would be a driver with a head shape for the purists.

I have one of these which has a tiny head and is a very classic shape. It goes pretty good in my opinion.

 

 

 

I also liked the TaylorMade 200 series of fairway metal woods.

Check out the Mp Titanium fw's. They sound a lot like persimmon and have a traditional shape.

Titleist 910 D3 and 910F for current releases. Some nice older Titleist are 905T driver and 906 fairways.

 

 

 

 

I like a traditional style also.

I play the Titleist 905T. 10.5* YS-6 reg. Like the one above)

Looks good and very easy to hit.

ANd, it's only 400cc.

(I'm also looking for a reasonably priced 906F4, 15.5* like the one above!!!)
