New 712 MB's

Very few tour pro's seem to be bagging the new 712 MB's - Why?

 

Is it too early yet or do they just not want to change what works?

 

There seem to be plenty of 712 AP2's about but very very few (if any) 712 MB's

 

Any thoughts?

I've seen em. Whoever plays MBs on tour for Titleist is using the 712s

Fowler's using them... http://www.titleist.com/players/ just click on a player and it will tell their equipment, there are a few bagging them.

Just a guess, but being that it's the Fall Series, some guys are playing to keep their tour cards. A change in equipment may screw up their chances at keeping their tour card and basically ruin whatever consistency they have in their current irons. Expect more players to be gaming the 712s in the next few weeks.

I got a chance to try out the 712mb's/cb's and was kind of disappointed with them after all the hype. But the finish and sound were awesome. Idk I think the main reason why tour pro's aren't changing yet is they are waiting for the off season to get used to them, plus the changes are rather minimal so it there is no need to change right away.

are the 712 really that much different? if not why would anyone change unless they wanted the different finish?

Titleist and multiple reps have stated the the CB's and MB's saw little to no change. The AP line is what they're still messing with. I'd say a lot are switching because they are so similar, they can use the new irons and not notice much of a difference. The ones who aren't probably do not feel it's worth changing.

The new 712 MB and CB look sexy as all get out. The new 712 AP2 looks like a huge improvement over the 710 series. I'm just guessing that Titleist has hit another homerun with this line.

AP2's are solid and look much better at address than the 710's, i also hit them alot higher over the mb's and cb's(standard s300 shaft). Overall cb's when struck pure felt the best for me.. I personally like the 712 line better than the 710.
