Knocking my 2.0's out!!!!

Just bought a single 6 iron from Edwin Watts Golf (Only $10) and went to the range today....I wanted to throw my Burner 2.0's out of the water. The KBS 90 shafts are spectacular, really smooth and the buttery feeling I get from these is really amazing. I, however, want to know how they differ from the CB1's.

I've hit my friends CB1 plenty of times before. The CB2s are way more forgiving than the CB1s. They are both forged and workable so you should definitely game the CB2s. Oh by the way I use the CB2s and love 'em...

Check the bay... I've seen a few sets up on there... I'm always on the lookout for a cheap set of CB2s, but I want them an inch longer and 2 upright, so my quest is taking longer.

I think you can get PX flighted... I know I've hit one with a PX shaft, and I think DiscountDans quoted me a price for the PX...

they are the dark finish. gb

The stock shaft is the kbs so if you want something different you will have to custom order.

How is the dark finish holding up? I've read it can show wear pretty quickly.

Cb2 in bag since June 10. Finish holding up very well.Best blend of forgiveness/playability. Adams hit a home run w/them.

I`v had mine for almost a year now and they have knocked my TM 2.0`s out of the bag.
I even have a set of Mizuno MP 59`s with the KBS Tour shafts. And as nice an iron these
are I went back to my Adams CB2`s. They just flat out perform everything else.
Now, I wonder what the CB3`s will be like? Hmmmmmmm?????

They really are nice!! Hit em about a month ago. They weren't on my list but they are top four right now. Down to the following:

Ping I15's
Ping Anser
Cally Diablo Forged
Adams A12

Love the KBS shaft but the uniflex in the Cally is surprisingly nice. May come down to a coin toss.

Which semi-player's forging do I choose? The TM TP CBs are CRAZY cheap on eBay right now. $250-$300... that just might make my mind up for me. Sorry, off topic.

Well, the Idea A12 Pros certainly draw from the CB1 and CB2 designs, but the A12 Pros aren't a direct replacement for either, as far as I can tell. Adams seems to replace individual iron sets on a 2-year timeline, and the CB2s came out in early 2010, if I'm not mistaken. They replaced the A4s. I would expect a CB2 replacement to have some kind of of rubber plastic vibration-dampening badge on the back. I also imagine they will draw heavily on the looks of the A12 Pros, which are smoking hot looking irons.

I have been demoing clubs in this same category (even a couple mentioned above)...you fellas may want to add the J40 DPC's to your list.

I'm currently gaming the CB2's with the stock stiff KBS 90's. They feel and play great. Can hit them high, low, decent workability. Love the finish on these and several guys have commented on how good they look. That being said, I'm still torn with a set of J38'S with Project 5.5's. I have a set of Taylormade r9's that have the KBS Tour 90's in them. May pull these shafts and stick them in the J38's while strengthening the lofts to match the CB2's and see what happens. Winter project as I am still intrigued by the Bridgestones. Only wish I would have gotten the DPC's instead of the CB's.

I have a short set- 6 through gw . They are standard length and lie angle with the KBS 90 in r flex. I used them 3 times. Let me know if you are interseted.
