What is the best Member Guest gift you have ever received?

Plain and simple...what is the best gift you have ever received from attending a member-guest, invitational or any other event?

A beautiful Golf Shirt with the Country Club's Logo and a sleeve of Pro V1 Balls. I have played in a bunch of these, and I enjoy the golf, food and drink, and the golfers that I meet. I don't expect anything more. I have won a golf bag, and a few Drivers/Putters, but that was via a Raffle, Tournament Placement, or a Door Prize. With the decline of the Private Golf Clubs and a very bad economy, these Member-Guest Outings will soon be a thing of the past. They were good back in the day though.

I have played in a few where they give you a gift certificate and have a golf company bring a tent full of their products for you to spend it on.

The best gifts I ever recived for entering tournaments was in my hometown district. Men's Open Invitationals (gross score- flighted by score) are pretty popular in my neck of the woods, and routinely attract 140+ players.

My home club usually hands out some sort of golf accessory, and it changes every year.....(golf shirt, windshirt, fleece, vest, etc.). They have a nice cook-your-own steak dinner after the Saturday round followed by a social, with lots of interesting door prizes, iron sets, tools, hardware (tourny sponsored by hardware store). This past year, they handed out Callaway rangefinders and SkyCaddy units as door prizes. I was fortunate to have won one of the SkyCaddy units.

The other fairly popular tournament, in the big city country club, usually hands out similar gifts, usually 2-3 sleeves of balls (pro V, callaway, etc) and usually are pretty rewarding with door prizes, giveaways, store credit, etc.

The prizes for flights are usually fairly good as well. Over the years, they have given out BagBoy carts, golf balls, shoes, umbrellas, stand bags, wedges, putters, etc, in addition to pro-shop credit and/or cash.

All in all, makes for a rewarding weekend for evryone involved

The past two years I have played in an LPGA Pro-Am. Last year I got $750 worth of Nike Golf gear. Left with a driver, two pairs of shoes and a year's supply of Nike One Black Balls. This year we had a choice of $600 gift card from Callaway and a few other things but I've been very happy with my bag and not a fan of Callaway so I went with a $500 gift card for a local grocery store chain. Funny thing is my group placed 3rd in the pro am so I ended up getting a $150 Callaway gift card as a prize for that so I ordered 2 pairs of Callaway shoes.

Other than that my favorite gift is two dark green fleece logo blankets I got for playing in a benefit for The First Tee. I use them all winter.
