Can't Club Ho due to house size!

Sad state of affairs, really, but I am one who keeps in this game with my own piece of mind by rotating Two Sets of clubs. I may designate one for range, one for the course, or not. With my irons, as Sig noted, I currently got some Mizunos going. I live in the Desert SW where golf is available for 12 mos, even though I mostly play the six hottest mos. due to the cost & no. of golfers out there.

My house is small, and the wifey would not approve of a "golf room". With my locale in mind, you know it probably is bad to store the clubs out in that garage (even though I got the space!) due to incredible high temps in the summer. Wouldn't the grips just rot in the 110 deg.? I have been able to keep our extra room back corner available for my two sets and one bag for now. That's it, though, for space up to the two sets. I don't want to hoard into 3 or 4 or more sets of clubs.....black%20eye.gif

So, I am having a tough time Not adding a set of irons (specifically, Cally MB or Protos or maybe Nike VR Pro MB) to rotate with my new babes, MP 69s.

The MP 69s have a mid weight shaft - TT DGL XP R300. I've fared well with lighter (<105g) shafts past in my irons. I've used my Mizuno MP 32 with DG R300 as main clubs only one short season of 2009, and then mostly as the bu/range set since. I love the irons, but the shaft at 127 g just is not me. I am Very fit at a rock hard 148lbs, I am Not Durable. Name a body part, and eventually or recently, it hurts! Dang heavy shafted irons!

Long post shorter - with my research of ebay used, here used, and Craigslist; I see that the most MP 32 sets out there are in way worse shape than mine. I use a Frogger brush post every shot, and clean mine up at home every night. Standard length, loft, lie. My set looks way better than these. My link How do people get that worn out spot on their grooves? I even hit at a sandy range.

I've got a 3-PW set, the grips on the 4-PW are GP Dual Durometer reds, maybe one season with no wear issues and original Mizuno TV on the 3 iron which is unhit. What $ and where do you guys think I should sell these very nice irons (I have legit serial nos. and Mizuno email to confirm it) ?

Sell the Mizzy MP 32 right here in the BST. PGA value guide puts them around $180.00. Only down side to your set are the regular flex shaft, most guys interested in these usually like a stiff flex shaft. But I play different forged clubs and like the DG R300 so just be patient and if the heads are in really good shape you'll get some interst in them. Good luck

Honestly, those really aren't in very good shape, that's the kind of set I would not buy. Someone will though, try the BST, I think $125 is reasonable, especially considering how difficult a sell a set of beat up old blades with regular shafts will be. Advertise them as the perfect experiment set for someone who isn't sure if they can play blades, find your longest playable iron, stuff like that. That is really the only angle you can take on those, blades for a beginner, someone who is transitioning or unsure of their ballstriking ability. Maybe if you refinished the heads real nice but that would cost a lot of money so I wouldn't do that. I'd sell them on here real cheap to a beginning blade player or if you know of an aspiring junior who is good but doesn't yet have the clubhead speed, these would be great clubs for a good kid in his early teens.

To the title, it may be expensive but there is always a storage locker.
Oh and you said you're thinking about proto's/razr mb's, you just need to trust me on this, get them right now. Find the specs you need and gobble them up. I play 9 of them, for a reason, they are truly the best clubs I've ever hit and many other people feel the same. (most notably Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson) Do your research, there is nothing to dislike about them and they are the perfect blade. You probably won't even need an backup set with those.

Reread the part about HIS clubs being in way better shape than those shown. He was using those as an example of poor shape. It was confusing because it said "My Link"

My "Ho" technique is based on a one-in, one-out style.

It's taken me years to hone and perfect but once a new club is introduced, the club that formerly held the position in the bag is dispatched.

Might work for you. We are always here to help you facilitate proper ho'ing - and which ho technique might be best suited to your constraints.
