So who all is going to the golf show this year?

 

I'll be there Saturday and possibly Sunday, depending on how I do in the long drive contest.

Hmmm... this year's looks slightly more interesting than usual. I'll probably make it out for a couple hours one of the days. If it's Saturday, I might try the long drive thing, but would probably just hurt myself.

Time to pick up golf balls and gloves cheap. Usually nothing new at the show. Just a bunch of older stuff that retailers try to get rid off.

Thanks! Last year I did pretty well, but afterwards, I heard something about having to be there at the end on Sunday to actually collect your prize, so that's what would bring me back on Sunday.

Yeah, I was always interested in the long drive contest after watching Pavlet's demonstration. A few years back, he let me hit some of his clubs, so that got me hooked, and I finally did it last year. Hopefully I walk away with a prize this year.

If any of you are there on Saturday and walk by the long drive area, I'll be the young guy trying to swing out of his shoes haha

If I might ask, what sort of distances/speeds do you need to be competitive in the long drive? Want to see if it's even worth my time. If it's approaching LDA type standards, I'll stick to putting and raffles, LOL.

Two years ago, there were guys purposely hitting low hooks to fool with the LM.

On Saturday last year, the leader was at 387 and I was in third at 343. There is always one person that does it and crushes everyone else.

Yeah, I'm not sure how accurate they are but I guess since everyone uses the some ones, it doesn't matter too much.
