i just noticed that three of the final participants are playing Ping equipment and all have been playing Ping for a long time. Do you think equipment has anything to do with their success so far?

A few years ago it seemed like the match play was being dominated by Nike players. Woods, Cink, Casey etc. I think it is just a coincidence.

I was struck by the same thing, Does make me curious about trying out there products. Especially the i20 driver, best looking driver at setup Ive seen maybe ever.

It means that they have been good at identifying players when they are young and keeping them in the brand as they grow up. PING and Titleist have spent a lot of money on AJGA players over the years.

exactly, ping has great equipment but their players just so happen to still be in the tourney because they are playing really well not because they are magical irons or drivers. Although my I20 is crazy good

I was thinking that yesterday while the matches were being played - about how Pingy it was. It's the kind of advertising you can't buy and the TV coverage can't avoid showing it with only 4 guys playing and 5 hours to fill. Three great Ping models to show (10's, 20's and 56's) off.
Prediction: Mahan vs Westwood in the final.

Great week for Ping. They got me hooked earlier this year and I am currently working towards a mostly PING bag. They have sooo many wonderful products out right now especially for lefties! I am gonna go with Mahan and Rory in the finals with Mahan winning.
