Anyone seen it yet?

Has anybody seen or hit the new Miura Driver?

What do you guys think?

I am afraid I am not impressed by the looks.
As much as I love my Miura irons, this one is not catching my eye.

But still I would like to know how it performs and feels...

I currently play the Miura Precious Edition 3 wood. I loved the 3 wood and was interested in the Precious Edition driver until this one came out. The 390 cc VS 460 cc gets me thinking and I'm interested to see if anyone could provide some review on both.

Also, here is the Japanese version. Looks like the Miura logo is different (Miura Giken for Japan) and this one is all black.

I have tested the Precious Edition driver. I like the small head, the sound and the flight curve it produces.
Unfortunately the ball speed was significantly lower and the spin a little higher than with my EPON AF 101 (both matrix code 6 shaft).
Furthermore it did not have this incredibly soft forged feeling the EPON produces.

Main thing for me was the ball speed, so I stepped away from this driver.
I am not sure about the COR this head produces. I guess it is difficult to have a high COR value in a face this small.

All in all, this is based on one extensive driving range session with a launch monitor.
This might only be true for me and my swing.

It will be interesting how the new head performs...

Hey, Miura's first big driver(460)-how can you not get one. I ordered one and looking forward to shafting it up with a white House of Forged shaft and bombing it.

I have been hitting one since just before Christmas...some jobs have their perks!!!

 

I had been hitting a Precious Edition 390 for the past few years...the 460 SIT is a huge improvement in flight and distance for me...same shaft as the old one so the head is showing where the improvement is!!

 

Aerotech Claymore MX 48... F5 at 45.5"...... Note that the SIT 460 heads are approx. 8-10 grams lighter than the Precious Edition 390 heads so the swing weight at 45.5" is the same as a comparable PE 390 at 44.5"

 

Mine is total weight 300 grams....D-2 swing weight and 256 CPM on a Digiflex with 5" clamps..... It is a WEAPON!!!

Hey guys....also note there will be a special edition version coming along in the near future that will be a different color scheme.....instead of the current matte black they will be high gloss black with an orange sun-burst effect in the top of the crown...SWEETNESS!!!!

I do not know about the near future but I have the new SIT 460 in glossy black with the sunburst effect in the crown, and I really like it. I shafted it up with the House of Forged Great White shaft and it goes a very long way. In fact, the SIT 460 feels so nice that it has moved ahead of my Epon, Kamui, and Yamaha heads to the top of the driver ladder. Great feel-long distance-hooray for Miura!

I have the Giken version with the sunburst fitted with Accra prototype m5 and it is badass!!! Low boring trajectory and no side spin... After hitting 10 balls on the launch monitor ( outside) I averaged 2200 rpm's with a 10d launch angel and smash factor was perfect. I'm going to try it out with the new diamana X this week but the numbers I was getting are going to be hard to beat - it was like a 170mph knuckle ball flying through the air and the roll out was sick and since I live in the desert roll out is huge on your drives out here...

He just built me J40 CBs with SteelFiber 110's - get them tomorrow His comments on the Miura SIT 460: "I have the New Miura SITdrivers in stock. I play the 9* and it is awesome! It sits square, not too bigand is very long. Cost @ $600 depending on shaft." - email him and tell him I referred you. He's a class act and a perfectionist!

I played golf with my local Miura dealer last week and he and another playing partner were both gaming the Sit 460. Their's were matte black. The face was quite deep. To me it resembled a deep faced Cleveland Launcher. Both guys were good players, but nothing about the driver jumped out. I think driver technology peaked a long time ago, and now it's all cosmetics.

Huge? I don't know what driver you've seen. The SIT 460 has one of the smallest "footprints" of any 460 head currently made.

I've got one..just completed shafting it with a Graphite Design DI 6X. Review to be coming shortly.

LOL... it is HUGE compare to my Crazy Crz-435II and Baldo 8C-400

once you try out smaller driver, you'll NEVER go back to any 460cc drivers again..... you might think im being bias or bullshiting But I'M NOT, I just dont want you waste money!!!

All my golf buddies (5 of them) threw thier 460 drivers away (Royma, R11, RKB,Rapture,GeoTech) in basement after trying out smaller driver heads ....

I am hitting the SIT 460 with the Muziik Bang Voo. I don't know what makes the driver the head or the shaft, but it is stupid long, feel is GREAT, and forgiving.

I don't plan on going back to my I20 driver.

I recommend to all!

Yea buddy. I went on a terror this morning. I got the 501s heads, C & Y grind wedges and driver all coming in next week. Hopefully get everything all set up by next weekend or the weekend after. I'll give you a ring when it's all done!!!!
