The Masters marked an exciting new season of golf. I look back fondly on my early golf days walking my home course in Connecticut. The course was built on and old apple orchard so we would pick apples as we play. Those first days of spring were so exiting all the way through fall when the leaves would change.

favorite memory is walking up and down the hills of Hartefeld National in PA, my home course for my first season of golf... it's built into the side of a mountain! fun undulating fairways and tricky 2 tiered greens

Even though we didn't walk the entire golf course as his health was not great at the time, walking the 14th hole at The Links of North Dakota in '07 with my good friend Les the summer before he passed away from cancer. He wanted to walk at least one hole and said the course and walk was the closest links experience he had ever had in the states and reminded him of playing 'real links' golf in Scotland. (Les actually broke his collarbone taking a golf swing that day - as I mentioned, his health was deteriorating and that actually was his first sign the cancer was back with a vengeance. I'll always remember my friend - this would be a fitting tribute.

Walking The Vinoy In St Pete. Great 4some Ex Pro Baseball Player ,Best friend of over 30 plus years (met in 6th grade), And another great friend who works for resort. On this perticular day I ,met Winky Wright Boxer, A Long Drive Champion, Manager of the Cleveland Indians and serveral other Amazing people.. I was awestruck to say the least.. Had a great time with geat friends shotting the breeze... One of the best days ever.

Fondest walking memory....summer evenings, back when I was in high school, just before dusk, when getting out to play a quick nine.

When I was five years old me and my father played course 3 at Medinah. This was my first time ever playing 3. It was basically empty that day and we basically had the course to our selves, that is until we pulled up to 12 tee and there is his airness Michael Jordan. What an awesome guy! He was so down to earth and really genuine. He then proceeded to ask my dad if we would like to finish the round with him. Michael and I walked up 18 fairway to the green side by side. After the round he gave me a couple autographs and his shoes! Even though i was only five, it was the most unforgettable experience of my life. Did i mention I was wearing FootJoys?

I remember walking Highland Meadows in Windsor, CO with my golf buddy. We were coming down the fifth-hole a par 5 and had our heads down carrying our bags approaching our third shots. Then Greg says, holf Sh!t and there is a giant rattler sunning in the fairway not 10 feet in front of us.

My favorite memory of walking a course was the local muni 9 hole course growing up with my buddies. It was right next to the landfill, and on hot summer days if the wind was just right you'd catch a whiff that would almost knock you down. Not sure these shoes would fit in at said course, but I'd love to have a pair in 9.5.

THank you footjoy! My favorite memory was with my friend Brad on the TPC Greenbrier course. I holed out from 35 yrds for eagle on 17. Just an absolute treat to play that course!

As for favorite moment walking a course, would be anytime when my dad and I used to go out and walk 9 (which always led to 18, or at least 16.) Chester Golf Club in SC, where I am from is where we always had our times out.
Now that I live in PA, the rounds I get to play with my dad are very few, and it makes me cherish the ones we do have. He was with me the 1st time I shot 30 on the front 9 including back to back eagles on Par 5 5th and Par 4 6th...

Thanks FJ and Golfwrx! I have plenty of great memories walking courses with family and friends! One of my fondest memories was walking and playing Hazeltine National a few years back with a group of three friends. It's always exciting to play a course that you have walked watching the pros.

We were 11 and 8 and walked at Rebsman GC in Little Rock, AR--it was a big deal because my grandfather rarely did that stuff with us (he wasn't a little kid kind of guy) and I knocked in an 8 iron from about 100 yards out for a birdie. My favorite golfing memory is losing a 9-hole stoke play round to my Dad on a par 30 executive course. The joy of an 80 year old outplaying his kid was immeasurable.

My favorite memory of walking a golf course happened last year. It was the day aronimink opened after the ATT national which also happened to be my 18th birthday. I had never played AGC before but I was invited to play that day. I loved playing a course with that much history and especially right after a tournament, the coolest part was seeing where the pros hit their shots all week and then comparing myself to them. I also played out of my mind well, which didnt really hurt either.

Walking off the course after my first time breaking par at my home course (Mount Airy Country Club). I had to make a 20 footer on the last hole for birdie to do it after two consecutive bogeys on 16 and 17. What made it more special was that it was in a group with my Dad, Uncle, and brother.

Playing with my teenage son in the rain on a course in Westchester, NY. The rain scared everyone away, so we had the course to ourselves and the only sounds we heard were of the rain gently falling and our clubs hitting our balls (and the balls landing in an occasional splash). When else, other than in golf, can a father get to spend several hours walking and talking with a teenager? This will be a special moment that we will carry with us forever.

I was about 4 years old and my grandfather picked me up every Sunday to go to Tameron golf course in Toledo Ohio and I will never forget that time spent with him. He was a big guy and I remember watching him hit 300 yard drives with a old Ram persimmon driver. I cherished even Sunday with him and I am trying to pass that down to give my daughters the same experience...

My favorite memory of walking a course was at Augusta National in 1967. I was 15 ears old and got to see Ben Hogan play his last competitive round at Augusta the day after he shot 66. Gay brewer won that year but that was the best ball striking I have ever seen including Nicklaus and Woods.

My favorite memory was the last 3 holes at our club championship. Is was two shots of the lead with three to go. I didn´t want to give up so i started to take a few risks. I birdied the 16th and 17th to tie the lead. A nice approach shot on the 18th in the middle of the green. Walking down the fairway on 18 was an amazing feeling, specially when the whole club was watching buy the green. A great put to make birdie on 18 as well and I had won our club championship!!!
