Did anyone see Ryan Moore Hole in one today?

Looked like David Duval ignored him

From what i saw on tv, Ryan Moore makes a hole in one and neither of his playing partners congratulate him. I hope they did but from the footage, David Duval turns away from him, please tell me he is not that arrogant and did congratulate him.

I noticed that too. I just assumed the other guys still hadn't hit and were trying to make a decision. Duval did seem quite emotionless, not even a smile or any acknowledgment.

I like Duval, so I am just going to assume he was in deep concentration and still had not hit. Or maybe he doesnt get along with Ryan. We shall probably never know.

Actually no one seemed that excited.....I think Ryan had to put his hand out 1st to a caddy......I could not make out if it was Ryan's caddy.

You know.. now that I think about it. The announcers did not even seem that thrilled by it. Its a conspiracy. Or perhaps Ryan really pissed some people off lately.

Probably a bit of a professionalism thing too. Hole in ones are rare, but you can't get too over the top about it, don't want to show up your partners. That being said, I hope off camera some congratulations occurred.

Really? I'm sorry, I don't care if I've made 10 hole in one's in my career, I'd STILL fist pump every single one. None of this "showing respect to my playing partners" B.S. Forgot, everyone has to act like robot's on the course now.

Just compared to some other videos of holes in ones, usually the other players smile at least, Duval couldn't care less imho.... I am very sorry cause I am a DD fan...

No. They may well have mumbled some congrats, but the camera was not off them long enough for any enthusiasm to have worn off...Duval dead-fished it.

It's because they are all out of contention pretty much so the ace was meaningless. Duval also worries about making cuts at the moment and for him I am sure it's a tough spot to be at. Think about it, the guy used to be on top, now he's fighting for cuts -- grizzled doesn't begin to describe it

No one in that group was playing well at the time. Moore had just made bogey on the Par 5 6th, Romero was +4 already so I don't think anyone was in the mood for wild antics and high 5's especially Moore. There likely was some chatter on the way up to the hole after Romero hit. For some guys it just isn't a big deal.

I've watched a ton of baseball games where a rookie or vet (who's been slumping) launchers a dinger and the guys in the dugout ignore and show no emotion....just a way to razz them....

And if I wasn't playing on the highest pro tour in the world, I'd agree, but if I'm Ryan Moore and playing with other guys who are still trying to hit their shots, I would take it in stride as much as possible and celebrate inwardly. It's not about acting like a robot, but rather being a professional.

If I was Ryan I would of be jumping up and down giving high 5s to everyone and if DD along with whoever blows me off screw them. i would be happy for myself and at the interview this would be my quote,

Yeah I was very happy for the ace its a thrill to get one. That was my 100th ace and I still get pumped up. Too bad my playing partners who are LOSERS did not seem excited as I was.
