Would like opioniom of those who have played them

Just got fitted for the 5 thru gap with kbs stiff shaft. Loved them on the range. Switching from mp 33.

What is your exprience. Workability, durability, feedback?

And what did you play before a12s?

I went from Taylormade R9 irons to the Pro A12's. I've had them for a 6 weeks now. Have used them for 4 rounds and several trips to the range. I play 3-PW with DG X100's. I am extremely pleased with these irons. I liked them so much, I demoed and purchased the Fast 12 LS, too! Compared to the R9's, the A12's have a lower ballflight and make it easier to control trajectory. While the R9's had one flight, high, the A12's will allow a greater variety of shots to be played. Draw, fade, whatever you want you can hit it. I don't think they are as long as the R9's, but the lofts on the A12's are weaker. The A12's might be 1/2 a club shorter, maybe not even that much. It's early in the season too, and I'm just getting the swing back into shape. I will say the A12's seem to be MUCH more consistent. If you hit 10 flush shots, you could throw a blanket over all the balls. The R9's seemed to have a greater variation in results, even on comparable strikes. In terms of forgiveness, I've been pleasantly surprised with the A12's. There is no doubt, the R9's are a more forgiving club overall, but the A12's offer adequate help as well. I've had friends hit them at the range, and they've commented on how they are "more forgiving than they look." Obviously, I can't comment on the durability since I haven't had them very long, but I expect the finish to wear. The 8620 steel used to manufacture these irons should hold up pretty well. I'm not concerned about war wounds, though! Overall, I believe these irons have a lot to offer. I hope you like yours just as much!

Oh yeah, one last thing...these clubs work well out of scruffy lies. In fact, the turf interaction on all shots seems perfect.

I went from Ping i10s to these mostly because I was going to have to reshaft the Pings, but I'm glad I made the switch.
The workability on these is great. Any shot shape you need is doable, but they don't go flying off on there own either. If you want to sit back and hit it straight every time, you can do that. Elevation change with these clubs is very easy, which may be the KBS shafts as much as anything.
As far as durability, these hold up just as well as any other forged club. My only fear when I got these was that the finish would wear off, but I've had no issue with it. Other than typical bag chatter, no durability issues.
My general feedback would be this: these irons are GREAT! You'll love them if they fit you as well as they did me. As was commented above, these irons are almost weirdly good out of bad lies and thick rough. I don't know why, but these irons ground extremely well.

I think the A12's have really been flying under the radar. This is a great set if you in the market for a player's CB. I think they have been overshadowed by their predecessor, the CB1. My A12's do not get much playing time these days due to my love for the MB2's but I think they are as good of a player's CB as there is in the market. If the A12's were more readily available in demo sets for people to try, I think you would see alot more of the A12's in golfer's bags.

Bought a set last fall, was coming from the original Ap2....I loved the look and feel....I played 4rounds with them outside and hated them, its prob my fault as I dont think the kbs tour S was enought shaft every ball I hit square went way to high and way to short....With a better shaft for me, I'm sure I woulda enjoyed them....

ordered my 5-pw with project x 5.5 shafts and golf pride new decade grips at no upcharge. ultra forgiving club, but when you hit it on the screws watch out!

I'm with 24vince. Coming from R7TP with PX/satin 6.0 to the a12's with KBS Tour stiff I have great despersion & feel ( love the feel over the PX) but the ball flight is higher and I've lost 1 to 3/4 of a club I think from spin, at first I thought it might be the head ( I put a KBS wedge flex in the Gap wedge and no distance lost) I also love the look of the head not sure what to do about the shafts at this moment. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
