This is easily the best hybrid ive ever used. I got it when it first came out months ago and its still the staple of my bag. I love the stock speeder shaft and the club has a no offset very clean appearance. The feel is hard to describe more like an iron softness than a click of a wood, either way I love it. It gives me a nice mid flat trajectory and I can still get shots to stop on the green. Ive hit numerous 225-235 approaches that wind up giving me birdie and eagle opportunities. Its an outstanding product and ranks among the top 2-3 hybrids with the Nickents and the Adams Pro.

I highly recommend to anyone looking for a neutral biased hybrid with a shaft that is not a weak noodle.

Did you demo the Baffler DWS? I'm wondering if there is really much difference in performance?

Based on just one session on the range with an 18 degree, I'd agree that the feel off the face is fairly soft but solid, no draw bias, and the trajectory is medium-high but not ballooning. The Fuji speeder stiff shaft felt easy to hit but maybe a touch soft (108 mph swing speed- Driver). What I did have a little trouble getting used to is that there's actually a little face progession here. I'm not a big fan of a lot of offset but the leading edge is in front of the hosel line. Will try it some more under game conditions.

Solid head and shaft. One of the few hybrids you can work both ways. Works well off the tee or fairway.

I purchased a 20* with the Speeder in stiff and had high hopes for this particular club.

What a disappointment - coming from the old TM Rescue Mid TP 19* with Mitsu Rayon LT stiff, I was surprised by the ON-SET and dull feeling head.

Much too deepfaced in my opinion as well.

The crispness and power I am used to from the TM lacks completely here.

All I got was low fades to the right...guess this club is NOT for me

I'll stick to my TM Rescue TP!

cheers,

Soeren

I have a 20deg and 23deg baffler pro - both with Graphite Design YS-6+fw shafts and I love these clubs. I also was able to get them bent 2deg flat to match my irons which I feel is a big plus. I have a natural draw - and fight a hook - so getting these flat really allowed me to straighten things out and fade the ball when I have to.

The baffler pro still has a good size head and is very forgiving. I tried the standard DWS and I liked it as well but had a little too much tendency to hook it - probably due to the offset - but I kinda felt like it was slightly draw-biased as well. The pro plays completely neutral. I think the feel is great - soft but still provides feedback.

My only problem now is that I hit my 4-hybrid so much better than my 5-iron that I'll often try to choke down on it instead of hit the 5. I can't bring myself to get a 5-hybrid - I'm only 35! :good:

I purchased the CBP in 16* recently with the stock speeder in stiff and noticed right off of the bat that the shaft was not a good match to the head. The tip felt very soft. I brought it to my club maker and he put it on the frequency machine and it frequencies at ladies/A flex. Provided this was done with the grip on, so it may lean towards an A/R flex gripless but that is still quite a ways from a stiff flex.

Has anyone else noticed this? Luckily the tip size(.335) gives me a wide array of shaft options and plan to have a V2 76S installed for some testing.

I have a 23 degree fitted with a regular Fujikura Speeder shaft. This club is very easy to hit and performs admirably out of anything up to moderate rough. Distance wise, my "serviceable" shots go between about 175 - 180 yards which is what I would expect from a well struck 4 iron. When I catch it absolutely right (very rare) I have managed about 200 on a calm day. Ball flight is very controllable and I can, within the limits of my own talent, shape the ball. My only two criticisms are a) the grip seems a little thin and b) the quick appearance of holes in the elasitcated fabric on the head cover.

I also had an 18 degree pro with a stiff speeder shaft. Whilst I did not have it frequecy tested I certainly found it easier to hit than the flex of the shaft would suggest. I got a high(ish) ball flight with my usual draw. Other stiff graphite shafts that I have hit (e.g. Grafalloy prolite 35) have produced low shots that go right.
