Well, I have tested a few drivers, and I must say, this driver is in the category of "top of its class" its one of the best drivers money can buy. Here is some proof of what I think of it.

Notice I got 151 PTR "power transfer ratio" out of it. Thats ball speed/club speed.

This club is SUPER SUPER HOT, and its VERY VERY Long. The longest Driver I have tested so far. Longer than alot of the name brand drivers by over 5 yards.

I can test any driver you all like, just send it to me, I send it back soon after. Give you complete results.

jeff983kprov1x.JPG

Crazy long. Your over 300 yards if you can swing about 110 or so.

I love this thing. I was hitting it great, shot after shot right down the middle. Also, on slight mis hits I would get a 145-148 PTR ratio, so even off center a little, its STILL hotter than alot of the newer drivers out right now! Incredible.

This is an awesome driver STILL! Other drivers on the market are shiny and you can change weights and stuff, but this club, no BS, straightforward, all performance. It just became my backup to 905T tour after all these years of being in the bag. I feel kinda bad to it but its had its share of action. Anyways, awesome driver, enough said.

Great balance, feel, and POWER. Rock solid but with .83 COR. Actually pretty forgiving due to the fairly shallow face and mid/high spin. You don't need a high SS to get results from this club. The 365cc is plenty big, large enough to be forgiving but not so large that it's hard to square (As is common with most 460cc monsters).

Still used by many touring pros despite being 3 years old. What better endorsement is there? One of the best drivers of all time, classic.

I love this club, 5 stars.

I gave it 4. I traded in a 983K driver for a G2 this season.

Titleist drivers are "player's clubs". The G2 is designed to be an easy club to hit and is. I just got tired of being penalized a little too much for slight miss-hits. I could tell my swing wasn't going to improve enough to continue playing Titleist drivers. I had used only Titleist drivers for about 3 years before the G2. I had fun this season with the G2.

love the 983K. got one back in Feb of this year and i have loved it. the ball definitely goes a long way when struck well and still goes a long way when struck not so well. my miss is a big 20 yard slice, which isn't good, but thankfully it doesn't happen very often, but with this driver, when that happens, the ball still goes a nice distance. great driver. i've been looking and looking for a TM R510 TP for a while, but can never win one on an Ebay auction. i'll keep looking though........hahahahaha!!!! while i wait, i'm very happy with the 983K, but would like to see how i would hit the TM R510 TP. see ya. scott c.

I've played with some people that had Titleist drivers before, and swore by them. Even though I've become a Cleveland Golf fan, I thought I would give the K a try out, especially since the price on them dropped. I initially demoed a used one with a 9.5* w/ Stock Titleist 4560 shaft. I then hit one with the stock speeder shaft, and found it fit my swing even better. Got the 9.5* with a speeder S-flex. I didn't think I would have the chance to hit for a while, but the temps have risen just enough to go out to the range. So, with only one range session in with this club, here's what I've found:

Likes: Good balance and feel. Nice trajectory on this one. First drive I hit with it went long and straight. It's forgiving enough for me. When I put a bad swing on a driver, bad things are going to happen no matter how "forgiving" the club is. I could sense some slight draw bias in the club. I usually tend to slice, so that's what attracted me to the K instead of the E. The thing I liked the most about hitting this, was that I felt like I could really put the "screws" to it, and it kept up with me (something I have yet to see out of the 460cc drivers).

Dislikes: I did hook a few drives, but I'll attribute it to getting used to the club. Also, I hit my Launcher 400 a little farther on a few occasions (but the 400 wasn't as consistent as the K).

Overall, I really liked the K. It may convert me from a Cleveland driver fan to Titleist. If the K keeps working out for me like it did today, it will be "curtains" for the Cleveland drivers in my bag, and I'll be getting fitted for a 905.

hahaha, there are some funny thoughts in this thread. the 983k. I play one, butter club. I have heard lots of draw bias this and that about the weighting but frankly I find the flight path perfect and do not feel the weight in the heal as being "out of place" or "excessive" or even noticable really. more importantly with this driver head tho is the trajectory. If I could take this trajectory, in a bottle, with me everywhere I would. nothing more satisfying from moving hole to hole and popping out perfect trajectory shots. makes you play better!

it's a shotmaker and highly rewarding when swung properly. I find this club makes me swing well, which personally I like getting that feedback. i don;t care what anyone says i know for a fact that off center hits with this driver (tho you can feel them instantly) are not pretty. the shaft you put in this driver is super important so prepare for that.

classic, respected, productive, results oriented players driver.

After getting into the 460cc craze last year I picked up a 9.5* w/ Titleist Speeder and fell in love. I now have a second one with the Pro Lite shaft and haven't determined which I like best. I've quit looking at new drivers for now.

I just picked up a 983K 9.5* with YS-6 S shaft on Ebay for $60 plus shipping, and really like it. Had been looking at the D2 and D1 but couldn't get over the fact the 460cc head looks too much like my 2 year old daughter's plastic "driver".

When I swing reasonably well, the 983K produces a boring trajectory, and very good distance. When I get too steep on the downswing, it balloons a bit, which it should. It's my first Titleist driver, and I love the shape of the head, the solid feel, and the sound when it's hit well.

i have this driver times 3 lol. this is my favorite driver... ive tried several drivers... but all in all i keep finding myself hitting this one... this driver is remarkably workable and it doesnt seem that unforgiving to me... i dunno. i hit my driver a very solid(i think) 280 i know if i used a newer driver id hit it like 10 yards further or something but for some reason i keep this one in the bag... i can draw it fade it high or low it. this driver is without question the best out there... its a cult classic in my opinion. so many people still have it in the bag over the 460 cc heads... theres a reason for it and that reason is quality. i love this driver.
