I was lucky as a youngster that my dad had major connections as a VP of a major electronics distributor and got to go to Chicago and the Monterey area with him to play some big time courses. They also had a branch in Augusta which is how I got out there. It's hard to do a top 5 because they were all so long ago 95 and 97.

 

One Scotland trip. Pinehurst is no big deal to get on when you live in Raleigh. Torrey and Shadow both while at work conferences. AAC, Peachtree, Honors Club, and East Lake because I've lived in Atlanta for almost 10 years now and worked at one of the bigger companies in the city for the last 7.

I think of all the courses I have played in Europe and the US and the ones I would like to go back to are Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, Royal Dornoch, The Old Course, Carnoustie, Lahinch and Royal County Down. Here in Oz it would be Royal Melbourne, Kingston Heath, Cape Wickham, New South Wales and Bonville.

Think Pacific Dunes may be a better course than Brandon Trails but BT ranks higher on my list if that makes sense. In the honorable mention category Bandon Dunes had the best stretch of holes I’ve ever played (4 - 6).

Played each of these courses just one time, would love a mulligan.

I played Leopard Creek a few years ago and loved it. Wonderful course that most golfers have never heard of.

They have played the Alfred Dunhill on the Sunshine/European tour there for more than 10 years.

Leopard is something else. Incredible course, now has an amazing par 3 course added and world class range.

and then after your round you can go on game drives and see the Big 5. Bucket list destination if anyone hasn’t been
