tour striker

experience with 5i ?

I bought and tried the 8i regular shaft, and hit it well. Most shots with good trajectory, some quite high, all solid, so I think I get a passing grade. Want to try a harder version, anybody swung the 5i?? Anyone swung the prototype driver???

Moco - Great question. I just purchased the 5i and would like some feedback on this as well.

I hit the 7i relatively well and sold it awhile ago. I regretted selling the Tour Striker and picked up the 5i hoping for increased difficulty.

Looking at it now it looks impossible to hit. It's going to require a ton of shaft lean!!!

I bought the 8. I thought it was easy. So I sold it and bought the 7 Pro. It's much harder in my opinion.

I've got the 5-iron. Best training aid I've ever used. I don't use it for more than 10-15 balls in a bucket because it's so damn frustrating. I do feel like it's working though. I can get it airborne, but not very high. So I figure that either my flip is just that awesome or it's working. I hit it about as far as I hit a 5-iron, but on a much MUCH lower trajectory.

I just wanted to post a follow-up after using the Tour Striker 5i on the range this weekend. The 5i is far more challenging to hit than the 7i Pro I had. Eventually I created enough shaft lean to hit it properly (but on a slightly lower trajectory than my normal 5i as Minitour mentioned). I took it out to the range again this morning and was hitting it incrementally higher. I would hit 4-6 balls with the Tour Striker then switch over to my standard 6i. Extremely challenging to use which is what I was looking for in a training aid.

The Tour Striker is the real deal. I'm really compressing the ball and the piercing flight I'm getting feels effortless. I used to be overly concerned with my position at the top. Not so anymore; this club eliminates most of the unnecessary swing thoughts that routinely clutter my mind. I won't be selling this one anytime soon.
