Leupold GX-3i

1st time out with it

Ok let me say this if I had not had my Leupold I would have lost 3 shots as I see this thing being more useful when picking out hazards as I had 239 yds. to a small stream that made me want to go for it for my 2nd shot shot on a par 5 but when I saw this I knew a 3 hybird was the club to use as I was only 5-6 yds from going in. Perfect lay up shot. Now I'm not crazy about having one but the more I use it I'm sure I will be glad I have it.

LOVE the GX-3i! Best laser out the IMO. love the feel of it compared to most of the other ones on the market as well. Keep enjoying it!

It's very accurate. Maybe I'm missing something, but does it have something to give you feedback that you actually got the pin and not something else (no prism flags)?

This seems like a really good range finder. Does the X3i accomodate for slope?

nope, that's the gx4 or gx4i

Read some lackluster reports on the slope feature (of all range finders), the club selector crap, etc.. and I bought the GX-3i a few weeks back.


Don't know how I lived without it.


GPS is out. Range finder is in.


I put a review on here the other week for anyone wanting more info (or pics)....

I also just got a GX-3i and used it this weekend. Our cart had GPS too, but it was great to verify or get even more accurate numbers.
I had no issues getting the right readings, super easy to use.
I know some reviews said they got numbers way off, but I think using the scan option will help those people the most. (don't expect the right number hitting it only once, hit it multiple times or scan!)

It doesn't give you any sort of feedback unless you're shooting at prisms but it's usually pretty easy to decipher the correct distance (common sense) if you have to click more than once or twice.
