I have a couple three woods and two 5 woods. Must say there aren't many out there that can knock these out of peoples bags!

I almost grabbed a used one today at the store. Steel shaft, which I actually kinda like, but I couldn't tell the flex.

Here is mine that I did a ghost finish on and it has a x stiff ust Irod fairway shaft. Great club! I kind of switch between this one and a 08 Burner. The burner launches a little higher and is a little better for me off the tee although I hit it a little shorter than the v-steel. Love both of them really!

Did you do the ghosting yourself? If so how did you do it if you don't mind

I'm in the pack, but it only a 15* with the stock regular flex (ultralite). I still love it and it helped me hit a 215 yd par three today.

i had the V-steel in 13*, (2) 15*, 16.5*,21* and 24*....

....still have one 15* reshafted with a tourstage SR flex TD1 shaft..the 16.5* with original shaft which is my main gamer...and the 24*...

..couldn't handle the 13* and regret getting rid of the 21*.......

it will take a really fantastic club to kick the 16.5* out of my bag!!

Still have my 15* that I bought it early '06 with the stock steel shaft. No reason to look for another 3W.

Here's my 3 (Tour Spoon 13*) and 5 (18*) V-steels, both are Tour Issue, the TS has the 757 speeder and the 5 has an 862 speeder, bought both new in 03 I believe, havn't been out (and probably won't) of the bag since, although they kinda stick out (that's a good thing) with all my Ping's (and my Taylor SW, but fixing to replace that with a Scratch), they still look good, same shafts as I bought them, just buy new headcovers every 3-4 yrs. Great clubs, 3 wood has a few chips, 5 looks real good, can't say the same for my picture taking skills.

Still have mine in 15 degrees, original black finish with Graffaloy ProLite -X Flex. Don't play much anymore but hit it the other day and I still hit it very high. Was thinking about picking up a Callaway Diablo Tour in 13 degree. On a side note the Pro Lite is still a very good shaft.

Yes I did it myself. I followed "deerslayer's" instructions from another thread and just used flat white Rust-Oleum from Lowes instead of the black in the instructions..

I mask off using the blue masking tape. I cut along curved edges with an exacto knife. I completely scuff the entire exposed paint on the head with the masking tape on the head. If any of the edge is damaged, I go back over it and re mask it.
Once it is completely scuffed until there is just a thin coat left, I prep for paint.
First, wipe with isopropyl alcohol.
I use a tack cloth to remove any lint.
Using an ultra flat black paint, only apply a super light tack coat.
Let dry for 5 min
Apply a single thin coat
Let dry for 30 min
Apply a single coat
Let dry for 5 min
Remove masking tape
[u]Let the head dry for at least 24hrs before putting a headcover on.
[/u]The paint gets MUCH tougher over time when it completely cures.
The longer you can let the paint cure before use, the tougher the finish.
Every one of the ones I have done are in play daily and the ones I did using this process are super durable.

Update...


I decided to throw the V-Steel back in the bag last night for league play instead of the Burner 08. I was hitting it great on the range, but put a bad swing on it on the first hole and pushed it into the water. The rest of the round I used it 3 more times and hit it great. On number 9 I hit one of the straightest shots ever that we gps measured at 268! I think it is going to stay in the bag now and the 08 is going in the backup bag.

15* with grafalloy prolite 35x. I use it off the tee at least 4-5 x a round.

I have the 16.5° with a Prolite 35 ,and a 21° with a UST Sensicore. Will never get rid of these!

A friend of mine plays one of these, he plays off one, and his nickname at the club is the best three wood player in golf. It's ridiculous what he can do with this club. It's shafted with a prolite stiff, and he can literally hit any shot you could imagine with it. There no need for him to change as he has so much trust in the club. We always joke he needs a 9 degree head to use as his driver.

I just picked up an XCG4 that I have not even tried, but I may have to pick up a V-steel to try against it. I used to have one years ago and loved it.
