Clubs for Young Professionals

Can anyone recommend any golf/country clubs for young professionals and families?

I think you need to be more specific about what you want. Location? Cost? Amenities? Exclusivity?

Young professionals meaning what, exactly? A club that's good for peer networking, or one with more members like you? I assume families means young families?

Sure, I am looking for potential clubs that appeal towards young members (mid 20's to 50). One that can be utilized for both work and socializing.

Location - Boston Metro (no more than 50 miles out of the city).
Cost - Ideally looking for $0-to-low initiation and no more than $10K per year in annual dues.
Amenities - Good golf, locker room, grill room, practice facility. Pool/Tennis optional
Exclusivity - No preference.

50 miles? That's a [u]huge[/u] radius. Basically an arc from Portsmouth NH through Worcester and Providence to the Sagamore Bridge. You're probably going to have to narrow that down a little bit.

Totally agree with raynorfan1. Pick an area first - North Shore, South Shore, or Metro West. Even if you live in the city, you still probably have some general idea of which way you'd like to go. Depending on which area you select, you may or may not find what you're seeking.

I don't want to threadjack, but I'm in the same boat as the OP, so I'll post my preferences:
I live in Brookline, would prefer to find a club within a 30-45 minute drive. I think that would mean more Metrowest, with South Shore also a possibility.
Cost: Would like dues to stay under $500/month, not sure about initiation.
Amenities: Golf is first and foremost, I don't care as much about socializing. Has to have a driving range (grass preferably) and good practice facilities other than the range.
I'm in my early 30s, don't want to be surrounded by people over 60.

My roommate is a member of Spring Valley CC in Sharon (fully private club). I believe 20s and early 30s only pay a few thousand a year. It has a grass range and the chipping and putting greens seem decent, though as a muni player I don't have much to compare them to.

However, the membership there is mostly older, according to him. My understanding is they've really dropped the price for younger adults because they have such a lack of them there. I have no idea where you'd look if you want a club that has a younger membership. I'm not even sure such a place exists.

After reading this about SV I inquired about membership.

I am 37 yo and a membership for me is 50% off for the rest of the year so it would be $4700 and next year would be $9400 (two year commitment). No other fees associated with membership.

If your radius is that wide look at The International in Bolton.
$7500 for an individual membership
$8000 for a family membership

Huge grass tee range

Played both courses @ The International this weekend. If I lived closer I would happily be a member there. I would say that it is a younger and more golf intensive (both courses are pretty serious) club than most in the area.

TPC Boston is another that I would consider, but again, I can't see driving 45+ minutes to get to the golf course.

Any club inside 128 will have a large initiation fee. Inside 495 is more affordable. You pay for the convenience / prestige / old style courses closest to the city. It's also not just a matter of joining. Many clubs you need extensive recommendations, due process to get in, etc.

True, but that's a tiny fraction of the total club population. There are less than 10 clubs inside 128, and none of them would likely be a good fit for the OP.
