Would you buy a mint Taylormade Driver from ebay seller w/125 sales 100% positive?

I'm hesitant to buy due to counterfeiting.

Looking at his feedback, he buys as much as he sells.

He's bought from Budget golf, Dallas Golf etc and all items are different.

He doesn't seem to be a dealer type.

 

Any opinions?

 

I don't mind buying very good condition used clubs but global golf's price are high.

I would rather pay a few more dollars and buy new.

Yes, I would buy from them.

Then, I'd immediately run to the Real/Fake thread worried that I just bought a fake.

Then, I'd query the WRX community because something "just doesn't look right".

Then, I'd file a PayPal dispute because the item hasn't arrived in three (3) days.

Bottom Line...If you're hesitant to buy of of eBay or WRX due to Counterfitting, go to your local pro-shop or big-box retailer and buy from an Authorized Retailer.

So you looked at his feedback? Did you see where there were page after page of "Fake!" "Knockoff Seller! Rip off DO NOT BUY!" Did you see a single feedback saying that? That is all you need to know to answer your own question. What can anyone here possibly offer you that would make you confident to buy from this person? Plus, you answered your own question did you not? If you would rather pay more for a guaranteed authentic club, then what else is there? I think you wrote this as some type of therapy or exercise in thinking out loud. Not really looking for opinions because there is no possible way 10 straight responses to your OP (that has NO USEFUL INFORMATION about the seller), that said "Go for it dude!" could possibly make you feel good about it.

Here is the deal, NO ONE wants to get burned and buy a fake. The idea of asking for opinions from like minded and informed people here makes sense. But without a link to the seller, or his name at least, or a direct link to the item in question, there is simply no way anyone can give you an informed answer. Sorry if I sounded harsh, It wasn't intended to be that as much as it was to get you to see that you have already have a good gauge on your comfort level. And I will say, that if they guy is selling and buying golf stuff all the time from big ebay sellers, he is likely just a club ho like the rest of us and is moving gear (at a loss) in order to buy more gear. It;s a sickness, I was diagnosed about 3 years ago, through counseling and being broke I have managed to keep my symptoms manageable although the price drop on the Cleveland classic 290 is to me like an on the wagon drunk finding a full bottle of scotch he forgot about in a linen closet.

If the feedback is there and you feel comfortable go for it. If not, then just buy brand new, it'll cost you still a little more but isn't the peace of mind worth it?

Ask the seller for a serial number and check with TM to see if it's legit.

I just bought a set of irons on eBay for the same reason everybody else does, it's cheaper. They're due to arrive Thursday & I will be calling the manufacterer & running the serial # first thing. Even if the seller has thousands of transactions, has over 99% positive feedback, & looks legit it's in the back of your mind. Make sure they have a good return policy as well.

Man I took a risk on my RBZ Tour TP a couple months ago buying froma guy with 9 feedback 100%... Spend $258 and it came legit as can be.

If it turns out to be fake then u can just file your paypal claim and return it.

Never bought a club off eBay that was fake. But I would check the serial number. If the seller doesn't want to give it out, move on.

The only way to know is to check the serial #...having said that, you said yourself you'd rather pay a few more bucks and buy new. In my opinion, that is the best way to go, or post a WTB add for the same driver on here and see what kind of responses you get. With some of the sales going on (golfdiscount.com is still offering the 15% off with free shipping as of today), you can probably get really close to the original price by buying new. I'd check there, rockbottomgolf, budgetgolf, gppgolf runs great deals sometimes too.

I bought a putter from a member who had lots of positive feedback as a buyer but only a few as a seller. He was located in Georgia and the price was amazing. So I pulled the trigger and bought it.

It arrived in three days.

It was fine.

He even included a note "I hope you can putt with it better than I could."
