Top private clubs in RI/SE mass

I have a pretty good network going where I have been fortunate enough to play some private courses around. What are your favorites? So far I have played:

 

Kirkbrae (basically my home course now)

The bay club at mattapoissett

Valley Cc (used to be a junior member)

 

Any others I should see about?

Btw the CEO of titleist lives at the bay club. Next door to my cousins best friend( how I can play there regularly) probably explains the prov1 and next range balls

Being from Westerly, RI - 2 of the top private clubs in New England are right here:

Shelter Harbor and the Misquamicut Club

Shelter Harbor has gained some popularity in ranks because it is fairly new. The Misquamicut Club near Watch Hill is just awesome - it is so elite they don't let anyone on to even rank it or photograph it for publications.

Unfortunately, the price tag on a Shelter Harbor membership is quite hefty - like mortgage your house hefty. You can't even attempt to join Misquamicut Club unless someone asks you, so no luck there either. They are absolutely gorgeous though so keep your ear out for opportunities to get onto either one of those. They don't come around often.

In case you're sarcasm limited, Hingham doesn't qualify as SE Mass (which is south of the south part of 495).

Kittansett is by far my favorite course & a lot of guys I play on tour with from the areas would say the same. The views of the ocean & layout is fabulous, I'd also put Newport in that category more for the history of the club which is also wonderful to play. All the courses mentioned above are all magnificent courses that are great to play. I live in Dartmouth MA during the summer months which is about 15/20 minutes from Providence & have played the RI courses mentioned & Ledgemont/Alpine Country Club are not bad either. A lot of people say Carnagie Abby but I'm not a big fan of the course, yes it is super private but there are a lot of dumb holes on the track & nothing special about it. When I'm home I call The Country Club of New Bedford (old Donald Ross design) & LeBaron Hills Country Club which is only about 10/12 years old but the truest of true links courses around, doesn't just feel & look like a links course but the truest links course I've seen in the NE area. If you ever get to the Islands both Farmneck & Vinyard Club is nice but I prefer the vineyard Club. There is a ton on great clubs around the area but I'd have to say the club I love most is Hyannisport, been lucky enough to play in some pro/am's there & everything about the club is magnificant, can see the Kennedy compound, the views of the ocean, the old layout of the links course is outstanding. If you have the oppertunity to ever play at Hyannisport don't pass the chance up, rain/shine/snow it's a course you'd never forget.
