Diamana Blue Board. Better late than never!!!

I just stated in another thread how upon returning from a trip a couple of weeks ago, my 910 D3 was broken during travel. Delta,(thumbs up to them) however agreed to repair the club so I took this as an opportunity to get a new shaft. I originally contacted my fathers CC to inquire about an Oban Kiyoshi which as everyone here knows is exorbitantly expensive but since Delta was going to help with the bill, why not?

 

Well, the pro ended up calling me and stating that since it's considered an exotic shaft it could take 2 weeks or as long as a month to get it from Titleist. Me being the impatient one, started looking at some other alternatives. I must state that the shaft that was broken was a stock MFT Ahina that I hit well. He first suggested the WB but stated it was rather stout. My SS is right around 100-105 mph. He then suggested a BB as it is an excellent shaft at a more reasonable cost.

 

Well today it came in and I immediately took it to the range to try it out. I can't believe what a nice shaft it is. When I hear many of you all talk about "Smooth", I now truly understand. I know the BB had been around a while now and there are many other exotic shafts out there. But in golf when something is good, age doesn't matter. So far I'm very happy and feel like I made a good choice with this shaft.

Which blue did you get in the driver?

I got the 73s. I had recently purchased a PX 7A3 which I liked but at times it felt a bit stout for me. I was worried that the the BB might be a bit soft and I hit it too high but the flight is truly Mid for me.

I stumbled across a Blueboard 83X pull this summer, my first fairway BB. If I ever find a cheap 93 or 103 pull, my hybrid will probably also make the switch.

I loved my BB until it snapped right above the hossel. Put it in a 3w but being that it's now tipped about 1 1/2", it's just too stiff for me now. Constantly on the hunt for another pull for the right price.

Had a BB in my 910f all summer, and it was beyond smoooth haha. Started gaming the new 'ahina 80g, but does not compare to the smoothness of the BB!

I just ordered a 73s for my Razr Fit TA, can't wait. Nothing is a smooth as the BB with response. You can stand on it, or smooth it, and it works equally well.

Along with 757 Speeder, one truly classic shaft.

Just recently put a 73x into a RBZ tour 14.5 and loving it so far. Didnt tip it as I am in between flexes and works wonderfully!

I went to see a Callaway fitter and he ordered me a Diamana Blue 65 3 wood shaft for my Razr Fit directly through Callaway. It cost $150 with shaft adapter. But I noticed down towards the bottom of the shaft there is the normal Callaway sticker. Did I get a real deal shaft or is this a "made for?"

I actually use this 3w shaft in my 11.5* head and its been an awesome combo at 43 3/8". Hitting about 65% of fairways since making the switch, others in the light rough but playable with maybe one ball OB each round. I will take that anyday.

actually... the blue 103 is the best fairway shaft ever...
