Disappointing that they are going to an 18 month life cycle. I always knew my Ping stuff would hold its value longer than any other OEM's stuff ex. maybe Titleist. But, if this is what they need to do to stay profitable and relevant, its OK with me. Good luck Ping. I'll always be interested in your new stuff.

Looks like your info is correct, GPP is lowering prices on all G20 line, just got the email from GPP. Sorry for the repeat about the price drop, just noticed it after i posted.

Saw pics on the Ping rep's iPad. Looks good, different shape at address, but same matte finish and adjustability as Anser. He said it would be a very dark grey rather than black though. New iron looks good. Similar CTP look to i20, very similar to g5 from the top (slimmer than G10-20). All the G25 product has PING in very large letters on the bottom similar to Serene product. Driver had an almost Speedline shape to the bottom.

Also new putters to replace Scottsdale. Adjustable standard length putter (same system as Nome 405 and 500), new series has same face grooves as Serene.

He said they are switching to an 18 rather than 24 month product cycle hence the early launch.
Very interesting that they will be smaller at address... Is it possible to have more forgiveness in a smaller head? I'm sure If anyone can find a way, it's Ping. Unless of course, they are purposely making them slightly less forgiving and more playable, aiming to attract a slightly lower handicap as well and leaving the K15 replacement to satisfy the ultra game improvement need.

Not sure anymore about product cycles anymore, K15 came out in August of 2010. So if a replacement comes in March 2013 that is 30 months and with a G25 that cycle is only 18 months. Then the S56 update would also be 30 months if they come out in March. Have heard rumors that there will not be an update of the K series. My rep told me he is not allowed to show anything of the G25 line till January 1st.

Ping axed the K15 quite some time ago.

Our PING stopped in today. Showed us pictures of the new G25 line. No demos or sample products to show, wouldn't be allowed to take pictures anyway.

G20 drivers, fairways and hybrids prices were all reduced .

The G25 driver is adjustable, didn't catch to what degree. Higher launching than the G20, lower spinning, only 2 stock shaft options. Same matte Black finish as the anser and i20 drivers. Interesting looking sole design, moving away from the design from the previous two generations. The face looks similar to the G20 a little taller out near the toe and long heel to toe. They will be priced at $349.

Fairway woods appear to have a pretty decent sized head. NOn-adjustable. Again higher launching and lower spinning. Longer heel to toe and designed to carry 7 to 9 yards longer on mishits on the bottom of the face. Same matte black non glare finish.

The hybrids are much more traditional looking this time around. Non adjustable as well. They look very similar to the i20 hybrid in this regard. Again longer heel to toe supposedly more forgiving on mis hits low on the face. Same matte black non glare finish as the other three.

The irons are thinner on the top line, and sole, but still maintain ample forgiveness. They profile to fit golfers anywhere from about an 8 up to a high handicapper. They have a satin finish that looked similar to the gorge groove wedges but hard to tell from a picture on an iPad. These will be roughly the same price as the G20 irons.

They've got a new face insert on their putter line. A couple new bags, very similar to past models. No more retractable straps.

FWIW, he showed the s56 iron, which I pointed out I played. And asked if they have plans for a new model which he replied to with don't be surprised if you see something during the PGA show.

All of the new line is scheduled to be unveiled at the PGA Show which I believe is in January. And they will be ready to ship in March.

S55's are what I'm looking forward too. For some reason or another I'm feelin' like it's gonna be awhile before we see these come to market. Even much later than the PGA show.

Perhaps this is a one time 18mo change so they can always release new clubs early in the year.

Someone said earlier in topic that the sole of the new G25 had a large PING on it, similar to the serene line. I am hitting the snot out of my G20 but i'm still going to bag a G25, because that's what we do. Gotta love the BST. I sold my i20 hybrid earlier in the year in 6 minutes.

Big thanks for all of that information.

The irons sound pretty intriguing, though I think the mega offset irks me more than the sole and topline widths. But that will help. Looking forward to seeing this lineup for sure.

By chance do they look similar to the Serene hybrids?
I have a slower swing speed and I'm short (5' 4") so I picked up the Serene 4hybrid today at Golfsmith and actually hit it about 10-15 yds further than any other hybrid I tested and believe me I hit them all. For a Ladies club the shaft flex actually felt firmer than my driver which is a Diamana Blue in R flex. Definitely wasn't a wet noodle like most womens clubs.

Strange looking sole if it is the g25, can those who have seen it confirm this is it?

This is the Serene line. He posted this before the Serene was introduced.
