Cb3 Irons - User updates??

Any long term opinions/reviews on the irons and the KBS Tour 90 Shaft would be appreciated. Played a round with a friends set and was blown away ann am seriously considering moving on from my Mx25 irons.

16 Handicap with a faster tempo and a little wary of the KBS Tour 90 Stiff shafts I played. Felt very light but hit them perfectly and seemed to suit my swing. For the first time I could swing away without fear of hooking!!

I just started playing these irons around a month ago. Absolutely love them. I too have a fast tempo but the clubs seem to work great with that. I am an 8 that used to be much lower when I played alot more and have always had full players irons so was afraid to move to something that was a little more forgiving. Not regretting it now.

Thanks and appreciate your response. Compared with MX25's and the G10 iorns used to use, the CB3 's also had much better interaction with the turf. I have an offer to buy an open box set for $ 299 after trade-ins and hence the question.
Is the finish still holding up?

Love the heads, hate the shafts. The KBS Tour 90 stiff is a great feeling shaft, but that is because they play so weak to flex. If you are a high spin/high ball flight player, these shafts are not for you. I had mine put on a machine to test the CPM's and they flexed out at 4-4.5 flex which puts them at a senior flex. KBS tried to tell me that you can't measure the newer shafts that way, but I call BS on that. I have a set of A4 satins with Nippon 1150gh Tours in stiff flex soft stepped one time that flex out to a 6.3 and they feel like a board compared to the Tour 90 shafts. Great clubs with the right shaft.

Interesting that yours CPMd out so soft. When I took my CB2s in for a lie board session, the fitter wanted to see how true to flex (stiff) mine were, since he'd heard also that they were typically soft to flex. I don't recall the exact number that came off his measurement device. I do remember his reaction, which was something like, "I'll be damned - they right on for flex."

Regardless, would still agree that they're probably not well suited for people who are already high ball hitters. Before I bought my CB2s a couple of years ago, I tried out both KBS Tour 90 and TT Dynamic Gold Super Lite shafts in identical MacGregor Pro-C forged seven irons. Because my shafts are overlong and I wasn't playing very much, I wasn't able to handle 125-130 gram shafts anymore and wanted something lighter.

The DGSLs were slightly lower, but the Tour 90s were so much smoother for my swing (long, gradual transition) than the True Tempers that I wound up buying CB2s. They've been great clubs.

However, now I'm in much better shape and looking seriously at CMBs with C-Tapers. :-)

Good thing I am not a high ball hitter. I did notice I was getting higher trajectory even with my 4 iron which I loved. Anyway buying them today.

I would be interested in knowing what you think about forgiveness between the MX-25 compared to the CB3. Looking at both of these iron sets right now.

Thanksk.

Bought an open box set and wow!!!
Played a scramble round and was blown away by the feel and looks of the CB3. Way longer than the MX25 and may be just a little more forgiving for my swing. I also a sweeper of the ball and the sole seems to suit me better than the MX25 and G10 sets I have had before.
Probably the best looking iron out there. I had everybody at the practice range wanting to hit them. The shaft is pretty good for my swing.
