Anyone watching the Australian Masters currently being played at Kingston Heath?

 

Poulter is on fire today, -6 through 11 to hold a 1 shot lead over Adam Scott. Could be a shootout between those 2 for the rest of the weekend if they keep playing like the are at the moment.

 

Interesting to see Scotty back to using his 910 too. I'm sure he has been using the 913 recently.

Aussie golf is some of the best we can watch as the time zone suits. Courses are just awesome, so much more to them than we see week in week out on the pga tour. Plus the field is pretty good this week

Scotty just birdied 12 and 13 to take the lead at -12. Impressive viewing!

Scott is just flushing it at the moment. Looks a bit nervous on the greens, even with the long putter.

I'll be honest and say that I was never a big Poulter fan, but he's won me over the past few years. His performance at the Ryder Cup this year was incredible.

Should be a good day tomorrow, hopefully it stays close.

Funny watching Poulter signing autographs after the round, one kid tried to give him a Man Utd jersey to sign. You could hear Poulter say "I'm not signing that thing!" I think he ended up signing a ball for the kid instead.

Glad to see Adam Scott finally win the Australian Masters. Now it's time for him to win at Augusta!

Adam Scott is a superb ball striker and one of the best in the pro ranks. He lost me when he went to the broomstick putter. i cannot support the broomstick players, I just feel it is not in the spirit of the game.
Its good an Australian won the masters however it would have been great if a young starter won or one of the other guys that have been trying on the local pro circuit to get a leg up and a chance at the big stage.

Love Kingston Heath. The sandbelt has some of the coolest looking golf courses on the planet. I love the width and how the fairways and greens flow right into the bunkers. Seems so much more functional than the typical American setup where bunkers are surrounded by a sea of thick rough.

Such a nice course, surprised Poulter let it slip away a bit, although to be fair Scott played lights out on Sunday.

My comment previously about the commentary was partly because they try to build this tournament up for more than it is. If they couldnt get Poulter/ Scott/ McDowell to play in it then TV wouldnt cover it in US. So for those that say give the locals more of a chance to win.....without those names then it is the Web.com equivalent event and get's no where near the money.

Also i am not sure that course is that amazing as the commentators said.....

Ray J have you played the course? It's awesome I'd have trouble picking between it and royal Melbourne west as the best course I have ever played. Tv really didn't do it justice.

I was there for both days over the weekend and the course was absolutely mint, never seen a tournament course set up in such great condition either here in Australia or overseas. A lot different to an American style course and it probably doesn't display as well on TV just because the vegetation isn't lush and picturesque. Curious your thoughts about this... what did you see? Have you played it?

I have not, but thought the course looked amazing on TV as have some of the other sandbelt courses that have hosted tournaments recently (Royal Melbourne, Victoria...)
