Always seems to come down slower than it goes up

I was in Bend Oregon the past week saw 2.83 a gallon here in Calgary we're about 94/litre, Costco is down @89

Down to about $2.83 a gallon in some parts here as well.

The gas prices are low at the moment, even here in Finland - about USD 7.40 for a gallon for 95 octane, it can be around $8 per gallon - the worst is about $8.60 up north (and remember, it's cheap currently) where there aren't that many gas stations around and it also costs more to deliver it to the stations.

The folks in western NY get the hose job. Was in Rochester (Mon/Tues) and gas was 50 cents a gallon more expensive than NE Ohio.
We're at $2.61 in the Hartville area.

It's either 95, 98 or diesel over here for most. A year ago there was about 6000 Flexifuel cars that could use the E85 and maybe 40 stations selling it in the whole country. To be honest I have no idea how much it costs but even if the gas is cheaper, the Finnish revenue service will make sure you'll end up paying more other taxes on such vehicles. It's not about supporting cleaner methods of transportation but making sure everyone pays their share - or preferably more.

[/quote]Ok so I just did a little research and it seems the classification is different (RON where you are vs. AKI in NA) it seems that 95 on the RON would equate to about 90 AKI here, which would be mid grade and then the 98 would be ~92 which is premium here

Live and learn. So it's basically even more expensive in comparison as the octane number goes down. Not to mention we pay a lot more for new cars, say the most basic Hond Civic 1.4 has a list price of around $24 000 whereas you have it at 18 500 and it's a 1.8 (that would be closer to 28 grand over here). Not to mention the average net income over here is USD 2800 while it is 3600 over there (according to Wikipedia)... that's five months vs ten months to earn "the same" car.

I guess I hit one OB and need to go back to the tee box now...
