Fujikura VC 6.3 Tour spec info

Just wondering if anyone has tried this shaft yet and what the feedback is on the performance and feel. I want this shaft but want to make sure it's not to stiff for me. I'm looking at the stiff flex for 97 to 102 swingspeed with smooth swing.

It's a very tight shaft, my swing speed is a smooth 107mph and I found it pretty darn stout...B

[/quote]Thanks, doesn't sound like it will work for my slow swing, I was hoping it was a little softer than the 6.2 TS

I have a SS of 97-102 as well. Would this be a good shaft for someone who wants tight dispersion with an agressive/quick swing. Thanks

My swing speed is 98-102 and my transition is smooth but I can get quick. my misses are left and I have a reasonably late release. I spoke with Fujikura yesterday as I want a Speeder for a Cobra Amp Cell Pro. They strongly suggested the VC 6.2 S flex (non tour spec) for me. Install will be untipped.

My miss for me is right with my driver and thats when i get extremely quick but it usually a 10yrd fade. I like the Fujikura Speeder 7.1 i have in my 910fd so i think i might just get another one of those but ill have to try the .2 (non TS) and the .3 along with my one 7.1. Thinking about staying in the 70gram range as it helps with my tempo and no get to quick. Thanks for the help.

I have one with swing speed of 102. It is not as beefy as the the other tour spec but it s very stable.

If you cant be above 100mph you have no business using a tour spec.

Players in the 90's with hard transitions like myself will often be fine. It also depends on installion, if it goes into something with a 2" BBGM then it's pre softened (could be around 1/3 flex) if put in untipped. Could make all the difference.

Maybe some might thing this shaft works under 100mph but I would strongly suggest not purchasing the TS and stick with the standard Motore Speeder, you are welcome...BB

No problems here with the TS 7.2 stiff. I have a really really short swing and violent transition. Obviously people under 100ss fitting it will be the exception and quite rare but blanket bracketing just via SS is so yesterday. Info from guys like Tom Wishon etc have opened up new avenues of thought.

I would have to agree with that 100%. The 14 year old from China who played in the Masters was fitted for an x-flex driver shaft, obviously by someone on the Tourvan with a Trackman so that should tell us something. I also know for a fact that Hale Irwin hits a 75 gram x-flex shaft in his driver beacause I asked him at the US Senior open when it was at Crooked stick a couple of years ago. I know there are resident experts with good intentions and mean no disrespect but obviously there's more to fitting a driver shaft than swing speed.

My 6.3TS X and 8.3TS X feel like a tighter version of the MRC 'Ahina 70X. It's like Fujikura kidnapped and force mated a Fubuki Alpha and an Ahina. :superman:

Will the 6.3 minimize the side spin if you have a quick transition and fast tempo. Once i get into the day my SS probaby goes over 100. So im asking will the 6.3 mimimize side spin for people who put lots of spin on it.

The 6.2TS will mitigate side spin better than the 6.3, but yes the 6.3 is a very capable shaft.

Obviously, you can get a Stiff versus an X-stiff for a 100mph swing speed.
