TM R1 and Tour AD DI-6...what a combo!

Bought a new R1 (white, don't care for the black) to replace my Titleist 910 D2. Had them pull my AD DI-6 out of my 910 and put a TM hosel in it. I knew the color scheme would be awesome (can't ever have too much orange), but wasn't sure about performance. Well, after two rounds and a few ranges sessions to get it dialed in I can say it is a rocket! Just thought I'd share. It's a stiff flex, 106 to 108 mph swing speed. 11 degrees of loft and 2 degrees closed for me.

A good friend of mine has the exact same set-up with the addition of an orange Lamkin REL grip (all the orange looks awesome). He loves it.

I have the Tour AD DI-6X in my XHP driver and its a bomber. So smoooooth.

uh oh.....I was about to pull the trigger on a 910 with this shaft.....now you guys have me wanting to go to the darkside.

I am sure the AD DI is a great shaft, but I always wonder if Tiger would have never played it in his driver would it ever get this much play or publicity? It obviously is a great feeling shaft, but I have never bought into this shaft for the price point. I just feel like there are similar "premium" shafts that can be had for much cheaper especially "pulled" shafts. I see several pulled AD DI's still around $200, that is CRAZY to me.

Then again, if I ever get a chance to play the AD DI I might change my mind. Right now, my favorite shafts have been the RIP Alpha and Miyazaki Kusala-Black. Other notables would be the Diamana Whiteboard and I at one time liked the Speeder shafts. Again, those are all fairly expensive shafts, but you can find pulled shafts for much less.

I have this combo as well. I'm still in the honeymoon phase but I am absolutely loving the results and feel so far

I have a slower swing speed, around 90 mph, and also replaced a 910D2 with the R1, but with the 55g Phenom Stiff. Loving it. 20-30 yards longer with my slow a** swing speed AND more accurate.

Agree....... got the DI 6x and BB 6x for my R1....excellent feel and performance.
The BB is lower launch and used for summer drier conditions; DI more for higher launch and wet no roll conditions.

forgot how forgiving the cobra zl was. took it out today for the first time in a while with an ad di 7x. very much wishing i went with a 7x with the 913 instead of a 7s

I'm telling you, the white R1 with the AD DI is sweet...it's like they were made for each other in terms of color scheme.

I don't care what people say, you better be able to swing the sh%$ out of it to get the Whiteboard airborne. Fyi, Tiger made it famous also. If a whiteboard fits you and you like it, it's very likely the AD DI won't be your cup of tea. Much higher launch.

That's what I think, but the AD DI goes great with anything black... Even better the R1 White with the AD DI and the old white Iomics-orange caps; now that would be a driver.
