Wedding reception entrance song help (Don't judge me!)

So the only point of contention with the lovely fiance for our upcoming wedding has been the song we make our "grand entrance" into the reception with. This is the last decision and neither of us are budging on it. So here I am on a golf forum looking for answers...

 

Long story short I want a good song to get the party started and she wants country...polar opposites, mostly.

 

Some of my suggestions have been along the lines of:

 

Crazy Train-Ozzie

Thunderstruck- ACDC

Pour some Sugar on me- Def Leppard

 

 

Anything to help us meet in the middle or a more modern song that has the same effect as the ones above?

First song after our first dance was Day n Nite Crookers remix. Everybody loved it, and filled up the dance floor quickly. Could be used as a good entrance to get the party going.

We walked in to The Final Countdown, the instrumental version that Gob always used in Arrested Development. Our DJ initially suggested Green Onions, he said that song always goes over well. Not really the "heavy hitting" style you're looking for though.

i was at a wedding where the couple was introduced to the crowd with the theme from 'monday night football' blaring in the background. the older people were horrified, but personally, i loved it.
dun dun dun dun badump badump dun dun dun dun duuunnnnnnnn....

they both love football, so it was quite fitting.


FYI: the songs you listed are like a soundtrack to a strip club... just sayin'...



edit: start with an artist you both agree on, and go from there.

song suggestion: someone to love

it doesn't have to be a 'dance' song... it can fade out after you get to the dance floor and then the party tunes can start.

Or trade the entrance song for like 50 coupons for being able to play golf whenever you want. Or something else.... Totally worth the trade, because honestly most people won't remember the entrance song an hour after they see it.
