Par 5 16th on the SouthWest course at Compass Pointe near Annapolis MD.  
 

Roughly 280 to bottom of fairway from white tees then over wetlands and uphill 270 yards to the green.  
 

Green is narrow and wide.  Back left hole location is a tough par.

@Colombiafrank Interested in getting a drone for some golf course shots. More hobby, only ever used other friend's drones. Any recommendations? Seen DJI Mavic Air 2 or Mini 3 Pro, but wanted to make sure it's not too light in the wind. Great pics btw, thanks in advance!

We are still using a DJI mini 2 and it works well enough also on high altitudes like over 3,000 meters above sea level, and also I never had issues with wind. Quality is also sufficient for our purpose. Only if you want to make videos, also buy ND filters. With the current pricing of this model, it will not hurt as much if you destroy it or it gets lost. Have fun.

A buddy and I traveled out to the BMW Championship just south of Denver.  While we were in town we stopped and played Arrowhead Golf Club near Littleton.  Very scenic golf course.  We started on the back nine which really kicks off with some stunning visuals.

This is looking back at #6 at our place. Three par 5s on the front: numbers 2, 6, and 7.  #6 is 545 yards with some elevation help off the tee and is by far the toughest. 2 and 7 are birdie holes, not so much here due to the difficult green. 
 

You want to keep it down the right side of the fairway to avoid the slope into nothing good left and below the fairway. That brings the out of bounds right of that tree line into play if you’re careless with driver or fairway wood second shot. 
 

Important to be on the right side of the fairway in two to have a better angle into the green which slopes severely from back to front and less severe left to right. Typical MacKenzie, do not miss long, ever, since above the hole is ☠️. Bunker short and left is ok. Bunker right (visible in the photo) is no good at all because of the severity of the green, unless the pin is back (rare.)

Ha!  We have a large herd of deer at the course that's for sure.  But all they tend to do is make horrid hoofprints in the greens.  Our maintenance crew is really great.

DJI Mavic Air 2 works very well for work / site projects.  Would assume it would be great for golf.

#1 green at my place. I don’t take a lot of photos at my place when I’m playing, but I’ll try to snap a few more today. 
 

 

Almost lost the course entirely last summer…drought and a water access problem. The recovery over the wet and cool spring has been remarkable, our superintendent is awesome. Invitational is next week and we have 10 days of warm dry weather, greens are going to be very fast.

Sunningdale Old course today is PURE. Excited to see it for the senior open in a few weeks.
