The newish 13th at Old Head today. I think it is 3 or 4 years old but I haven't been here in a few years...

Just played the bridge on Monday. Such an underrated track. Views are amazing, but the course is tough and fun at the same time. Baffles me that it's ranked 23 in ny according to golf digest. By far some overated tracks above it in my opinion.

Last time I played this course was kind of dumpy

It is pretty dumpy but they are getting ready to dump $14.5 million to redo both courses and build a new clubhouse. The greens were perfect.

In 2016 Spyglass Hills 50 year agreement with Pebble Beach came to an end. To build Spyglass the NCGA started a Spyglass Hill Founders Club in which each member paid $2,500 to join and then $50 per year. This entitled each member to nine starting times each weekday and twelve starting times on the weekends without paying any green fees. The funny thing is that my friends father was a founding member only I didn't play golf while he was still golfing and when he was also a member of the Olympic Clubm

The signature 7th. A dogleg par 4 with a forced carry, and an elevated green located atop a sand dune overlooking Lake Michigan

 

 

 

 

My approach wound up in the right bunker. The ball should have rolled to the bottom of the bunker, where it would have been a relatively easy shot. However, the ball wound up in a footprint rough waist high, and I was lucky to get the ball on the green. Goose? Duck? Seagull? Bloody birds don't rake their footprints. Lol.

The par 4 18th. The Paw Paw river is to the right, along with a hawk apparently.

Absolutely beautiful course, play it every time I visit lake Michigan. What'd you think of the green on the par 5 10th?

Love the 10th green. The pin was up front, which is probably the easiest location, but it's still a rather severe slope. I was pin high left chipping for eagle, and the ball rolled down the front of the green. I wound up with a par after two great shots. Grrrr.

Yes, Kingsway, not Kings Gate. Kingsway is a semi-private golf club and Kings Gate is part of a housing development.

It used to be a public course years ago. Then discovery land company bought the property and redid the whole thing. Still under construction at the moment.
