Here's a funny story. . .

So a few weeks back, I got all my club stolen. That's not the funny part.

 

The very next day, I went to a store and I bought an odyssey putter, a vokey wedge, and a hybrid. I needed these, but I had an old set of irons and a driver laying around for a round that day.

 

That same day I learned that my insurance claim was accepted, so I went back to the same store, and bought a 3-wood, a 4-wood and a dozen pro v's.

 

Well, I get my credit card bill yesterday, and there are two charges from this place, both for $434.57. I figure there's a mix-up and that they rang up one charge twice.

 

NOPE!. I called them up. They looked into it, read back all my items, and both days. . .exact same number to the FRIGGIN' PENNY.

 

Putter + wedge + hybrid = 3-wood + 4-wood + dozen pro V's to the PENNY!

Hahah that's pretty rare for sure.

I have a similar weird one where I had some store credit from a mess-up, I went to use it up and got a few things I needed and it just so happens to equal the EXACT amount of my store credit. I had my VISA out expecting to pay a little extra for things but nope, EXACT to the penny; we all had a good laugh

Completely unrelated to golf but definitely in the "what are the odds" category. In either 02 or 03, I was at my office and had just moved into a new house and my home phone/internet provider was offering a cell phone package so i decided to order it. I told the rep which of the 2 local area codes I preferred and she went to find me a phone number, she rattled off the digits and i wrote them down. (this is pre "take your number with you" days) Somehow, I didn't immediately notice that the cell number she gave me ended in exactly the same 4 digits as my office direct line. 2183. That seemed like some pretty long odds. I then thought maybe she saw my office number from caller ID but realized the CI would always show the main office number. Not nearly as interesting as your Story OP, nor did i get nearly the enjoyment out of that POS sprint phone/service that you will from your new gear. Sorry that rat bastxxx lifted your sticks, I don't believe in Karma, but stories like yours at least make me hope.
