  1. Pine Valley closed public access to crump cup many years ago since covid. Believe me I’ve tried many times and contacted the course.
  2. No one gets 40yds roll w 233 carry. After watching/measuring many thousands drives, this only happens if they hit asphalt or concrete or Belgium block cart path or sprinkler head.
  3. Wow Ariya must have been rl been amped up & pissed! Usually all she does is hit 3w on the ground if she’s mad which is pretty rare.
  4. You might want to watch in person in a few years. It will be the only time any of the public has ANY access to view and/or walk Pine Valley course. They are hosting the Walker Cup.
  5. Those are rl old measurements. Maybe the shortest players might hit this when they hit ob on 2 driver measurement holes per round. I’ve been there measuring the drives. Most of the rookies are all hitting 265-280yd drives on average w no help. Fyi, Nelly in the pic usually hits around 260-270yd on average w no help. Fwiw, when the top amateur ladies want a round they are usually playing vs the scratch or better male players.
  6. Who wins rookie LET vs rookie DP World players? Welsh player Darcey Harry, 22-year-old LET rookie stormed to victory at the Hulencourt Women's Open in Belgium last month. vs. Harry's caddie is her boyfriend, Jacob Skov Olesen, a DP World Tour rookie who co-led the men's British Open earlier this month at Royal Portrush. The Dane was also on the bag for her win in Belgium. As for friendly competitions between the two, Olesen said, "We tied the only match we played, so no one has the upper hand. I guess she does, a little bit, having a win." https://golfweek.usatoday.com/story/sports/golf/lpga/2025/07/31/2025-womens-british-open-darcey-harry-boyfriend-caddie-jacob-skov-olesen/85461643007/
  7. Charley and Nelly on being in HG2. https://golfweek.usatoday.com/story/sports/golf/lpga/2025/07/30/happy-gilmore-2-nelly-korda-charley-hull/85438133007/
  8. Geeno’s AIG presser. A few interesting tidbits
  9. 10. Sorry we are starving here. Don’t have either chain in this region. Don’t have In n Out but do have Habit, Smashburger and 5guys.
  11. Sort of surprised, now that multiple pros can actually do HG swing and have done in public that story line wasn’t explored. HG was super long in OG but now others have his swing and caught up.
  12. Not everything, some seem to like golf equipment, esp. a favorite club or two. You mean Morgan on the Ladies side?
  13. Harmon was never known for being long. He is definitely in shorter and v accurate driving group. Think he hits 2/3 of fairways. Then again he is smaller than the avg pro by quite a bit.
  14. In the 90s Champions tournament, Lee and rest of players were treating it like a reunion of past years on tour. They were plenty jovial and constantly joking around and cracking each other up. Nassau and games were setup throughout. Add a close by airport and the group post round trips and bonding became endless.
  15. However golfwrx thinks about HG2, it seems rest of universe thinks differently. Based on returns so far, Netflix is rl happy and so is Sandler, as producer. “film, currently sitting in the No. 1 spot in Netflix’s top 10 movies. The sequel, filmed in New Jersey, has drawn 46.7 million views globally since its July 25 release. That number gives “Happy Gilmore 2″ the largest opening of any Netflix movie in the United States and the largest opening for any Sandler film.” ”first “Happy Gilmore” also did well on Netflix this past week, drawing 11.4 million views and ranking at No. 3. The film is leaving the streaming service on Friday (August 1).” Article contains more Easter egg hints and cameo info: https://www.nj.com/entertainment/2025/07/hole-in-one-happy-gilmore-2-filmed-in-nj-breaks-netflix-and-adam-sandler-records.html “Like the first “Happy Gilmore,” which premiered in 1996, Sandler wrote the movie with his frequent collaborator Tim Herlihy (Martin’s dad), and Kyle Newacheck directed.” Newacheck and Sandler have known each other for 15+yrs. This project is yet again another favor returning another favor for many in the cast. One reason for many people being extremely loyal to Sandler, once your in, your not forgotten.
  16. Trevino changed in his career. There is before the lightning strike and back issues vs. post back issues. Generally would be called a fader and shotmaker. McLean and most coaches would call it a hold off fade vs jacks power fade. Post lightning strike 1975 he started to have back issues that caused low slight middle fade to go much shorter throughout the bag. Lee then changed swing a bit but mostly change the ball position. Partially to get more ball height and also to get less stress on the back. As a shotmaker, he could and would flight shots how ever he wanted. While stock shot was a fade, height varied as he could hit maybe half a bag from a given distance. Sometimes several different fades shots w the same club. Until the modern era of bomb n gouge of power golf via tiger/phil/et. al, shotmaking was the way to win usually.
  17. Quite a few swing similarities w Moe Norman. Both backyard swings developed on their own. Lee done for the hard pan and windy days of TX. Rest for the high end Nassau’s and gambling rounds.
  18. Worked a Champions tour event back in 1990s on a course that Gary designed. So all of the names showed up for one year or more. Arnie held court and treated the bar to a round of drinks. Trevino did his own “crowd management” as well. He went along almost like he was giving live on course playing lessons as he played. Everyone loved it. Nothing like calling your shot and making it happen.
  19. What’s he do now that hooter’s declared bankruptcy? Even the hooter’s down the st in Augusta, GA and the masters has closed. Last session in 2025 lasted a wk and JD made $780k which was more than most yrs golf earning in his prime.
  20. New golfwrx owner?? Must have been away at tournaments when this happened.
  21. Behind HG2 scenes, the cameos, the Easter eggs and where everything was shot esp the golf scenes (in NJ!). warning: Most of Sandlers actual family, friends and SNL cast are featured throughout the movie. https://www.nj.com/entertainment/2025/07/go-behind-the-scenes-of-adam-sandlers-happy-gilmore-2-see-all-44-nj-film-locations.html The other Easter eggs and multiple tributes in the movie to anyone in orginal HG that has since died. https://www.nj.com/entertainment/2025/07/in-happy-gilmore-2-adam-sandler-remembers-disney-channel-star-cameron-boyce-who-played-his-son.html
  22. Many ppl move ball fwd and usually change alignment of shoulders abd/or position of elbows. One great benefit of watching pros o. Practice day esp Mon/tues is watching them on putting green test and continue checks/ testing putting alignment and setup. Pros are pros because they are ingrain fundamentals w a consistent repeatable setup that applies alignment and positioning usually
  23. Scottie is anything but a short hitter. He’s actually a long hitter that generally saves a bit of power in reserve for accuracy and let’s shaft out depending on conditions and round situation. Even when backing off distance he’s still well above tour avg.
  24. Caddy is the psychologist, coach, distractor, friend and sounding board all in one. How much the player uses the caddy depends on the players trust in the caddy for their history, knowledge of the game and the players tendencies, strengths/ weaknesses and course management. Its a fragile and complex relationship as most are/were connected well before players career as friends, sibling, relative, spouse, parent and/or coach.
  25. You should read the Putting Doctor advice. He’s who applies the science to putting as a Sports Vision Optometrist https://www.amazon.com/Putting-Prescription-Doctors-Proven-Method/dp/0470371013 He shows how eye dominance, position of head/body/arm affect alignment and aim. Shows how to test and adjust. As a L eye dominant playing right, you need to move the ball up in your stance. Generally on R edge of Left foot is in the ballpark.
