No one has mentioned a Denver city municipal course yet. Every suggestion is at least an hour out of town from a downtown location - but good courses. If you want to play "in Denver" and don't have access to private clubs - Wellshire is going to be your best bet. The redesign of City Park Golf Course is supposed to be pretty good too.

The shaft and head combo on those Hogans was legendary - for about five years or so. I still pull my 99 Apex MBs out for fun every now and again. They were great irons.
