I just bought two dozen of the Tour X align. I unfortunately havent been able to do a ball test comparison yet, but through one round of golf and one session this morning on the sim it does seem to be lower spin than they spinnier X offerings out there (typically play either Wilson Staff Model X or Callaway Chrome Tour X which I think is the highest spin "tour" ball out there). My driver spin is typically around the 2,550-2,750 range, this morning on the sim it was 2,200-2,400. Love the driver flight and numbers, but a little worried it won't spin enough for me on my irons and wedges. We'll see.

You hit it on the head. In the 240 vs 230 video specifically, AGN says during the pie chart comparison something along the lines of “i230 shows as having more forgiveness because it has a slow face out of the middle. If you slow down the middle it’s a lot easier to get the rest of the club to keep up. They gave i240 more speed out of the middle so it’s going to show here as less forgiving”
