That’s the one thing I forgot to do… I was so excited to get the build done. I will say it does feel lighter… you would have to think the removal of of the edges has made it lighter. In context I use 25g weights. It also could be use of the CT Tour putter shaft making the balance point higher up… Im kicking myself for not weighing it. But I don’t want to undo the build 😂.

It just feels a little off on the bottom hand... I can my calipers to see the difference... Measured both right under the grip KBS = .600 Scotty Stock = .510 Its going to throw me off, especially with being a long time Baby T user.

I know it’s not really for this thread but the CT tour makes the Baby T feel way bigger.

From my experience it sounds more metallic like then the other GT models. With the GT1 having a metal crown, its going to have a more metallic sound to it. Its not a huge difference however, just slightly different.

I tinkered with the GT1 Hybrid turned down to 19. I tried 3 different shafts with it, Velo Blue+ 8x tipped 1.5", Velo Black 8x tipped 1.5", Velo Blue + HB 9x no tipping. Starting with the 9x HB, It launched very high for me, I plugged in the Velocore Black to try to lower the launch a tad but it just wasn't the right fit for me. Tried the Velo Blue 8x and it was kind of in between the HB and black. I was getting consistently around 215 yds carry. Which left me with weird gapping issues. My 7w is 230~ and my 4 iron is 210~. It would be more of a 4 iron replacement for me. I think the club would work great with the proper gapping setup, but for me it wouldn't be taking over the 7w or 4 iron.

I am currently gaming the GT1 and I was using a Ventus Blue Velo+ 7x in mine tipped 1". I was getting around 250 carry with minimal roll out at all, the ball went super high and just dropped. I put in the Ventus Black Velo+ 7x (tipped 1") and it definitely brought the height down quite a bit, I seemed to get a bit more roll out with it. I feel comfortable using either or, the course I play at mainly gets hit with quite a bit of wind so on those windy days Ill probably plug in the Black, otherwise I will probably use the Blue. I use the GT1 in a 3W (250-260 yd) and 7W (225-235 yd) and absolute game changers to attack Par 5s. I contemplated long and hard about getting the GT1 Tour, but honestly, I don't think I need anymore distance or the potential benefit of what it could bring, my gapping is perfect how I want it at the moment.

Has anyone used a specialty paint for paint fill on grips? I wanted to black out the golf pride logo on my tour velvets, I tried using acetone and a tooth pick and its a complete pain. I figured using a paint would possibly be easier? Any one try this? It would be a cheap experiment to do myself, but thought I would ask here first.
