  1. I'm betting Bryson to MC. He's been horrible approach all season and plays terribly in the wind.
  2. To be fair there was a thread here making fun of Micah for shooting an 80 something in a tournament, but I don't think that represents the larger golf population
  3. I understand why he's not doing it, but what rubs me the wrong way is in his videos in the past he's claimed multiple times "playing in a pga tour event is a dream of mine." Yet because you can't record it shot by shot you're not going to play? It's just an admission that you care more about your youtube channel than golf, which is fine just don't pretend otherwise.
  4. No offense man but that golf monthly article isn't exactly a great datapoint. Will a high handicap player get better if they get a fitting? Probably. Will they become hindered by their fitted equipment if they make notable changes to improve their swing? Yes.
  5. I like the No laying up youtube videos, but they're more about highlighting the course and less about the "personalities" of the golfers.
  6. This is maybe the most open an elite athlete has been about how unfufilling winning can be. The only other guy who comes to mind is Jokic but he doesn't articulate it to this extent.
  7. If he can't figure out a way to make a video of this without filming it shot by shot he's a bad content creator.
  8. I love the implication that maybe next year the tour will carve out an exception for him in their billion dollar tv rights deal!
  9. I know everyone here was excited to watch but it seems like Grant is declining his sponsors invite since he can’t bring a film crew to a pga tour event.
  10. Do they? Maybe with their swing path sure but strike point, low point, and face angle vary wildly shot to shot.
  11. Good to see we'll get some windy conditions. Really liking the form that Viktor's coming in with. A guy used to playing in the wind who is a great ball striker on a course where iron play is going to be important.
  12. To someone else's point, please post a follow up after you attend. Really curious how it goes.
  13. Even when I hit a draw I faded my wedges. It was never on purpose but I think that with wedges since I'm swinging softer I'm using less lower body and a more upper body driven swing which probably promotes out to in.
  14. If you're a single digit handicap you probably have a repeatable swing and fitting will probably benefit you. In my opinion, the order of clubs going from most important to least important to have fitted is: Driver Wedges (never fit these indoors) Woods Irons Putter Driver you could be losing a lot of distance with suboptimal launch conditions. Wedges are your scoring clubs and bounce and grind matter a heck of a lot more than you think. Woods also benefit from the launch conditions but distance is less important than driver. Irons become less of a big deal and I personally am of the opinion that putter fitting is almost useless. If you want to save money I know the PGA superstore does events where they do free fittings into a specific new club release (IE they did a free GT fitting last year when titleist released the GT line). Could go do something like that and just find a used driver with similar specs to what they fit you in.
