DYNAMIC GOLD AMT IRON SHAFTS

Dynamic Gold AMT Tour Issue irons shafts have the same performance DNA as Dynamic Gold and are designed to get progressively heavier as golfers move from their long iron to short iron. Lighter long irons produce increased speed and higher initial launch, which makes them easier to swing and deliver a softer landing. The Tour-weighted short irons produce traditional Dynamic Gold accuracy, consistency and trajectory. AMT stands for Ascending Mass Technology, which means the steel shaft's weight increases in 3 gram increments from the 3-iron to PW, while the balance point is adjusted so that the swing weight is consistent to standard Dynamic Gold throughout the set. Dynamic Gold AMT Tour Issue is now available through True Temper Performance Fitting Centers.

PROJECT X LZ IRON SHAFTS

Project X LZ steel features proprietary Loading Zone Technology for improved energy transfer and a smooth feel. The reinforced tip and butt sections act to maintain the tour proven stability you expect from Project X with a mid-trajectory launch profile.LZ technology is achieved by using variable wall technology in both butt and tip sections and a reduced stiffness midsection. Golfers can not only feel Loading Zone technology, but see it as well in the rapid, tapered steps out of the grip through the mid-section of the shaft.

I absolutely love the feel of Nippon pro 950gh shafts in my covert forged irons. I can live with the high launch, however i despise the laughable spinning balloon shots that have lost me a club and a half of distance. So my question would be, which of these shafts have a smoother feel and lower spin?

Thanks Mark

I have been trying to get away from the "rebar" that is C-TaperX130, but can't find a similar ball flight. Will a 6.5 LZ be somewhat comparable for ball flight?

I play the driver shaft, do you get that same "loading" feeling with the iron shafts?

Thanks in advance if you can answer either question.

For me I need a lovely feel in my irons. Smooth that is. Dg is that but they are heavier than I like. Px has a good light shaft but feel is eh compared to Nippon. Can the Lz be the shaft for me? I thought I read it was lighter than the dg and has better feel. Before you say try the xp, I can say I have and the flight was not what I was looking for.

Forever Changing at this point.......

Will the LZ launch similar to the project X, with better feel? Or will similar flexes launch differently?

There is a lot of competition on the market with a lot of different variations that can benefit a player if properly fit and also cause a headache if improperly fit. It seems like a local fitters can make the mistake of just suggesting the stock shaft that is currently in the irons.

So I have a couple of questions:

1) In simplified terms, what type of player would benefit from DG AMT shafts and why? What type of player would benefit from the Project X LZ iron shafts and why?

2) This one might be difficult to answer so no worries if you want to just stick with number 1. A lot of other companies are making shafts, so how do you make your product stand out with all the other vendors and what aspect of the TT shaft can you offer someone that other companies don't?

Thanks for taking the time to answer questions and getting the community involved to learn more about shafts.

I know the LZ won the tournament.

You proved thath those are good for pros who have faster ss and higher spin rate.

But how do we know that these are good for normal amateur golfers?

I have been playing a set of DGTI AMT since I could get my hands on a set. They are absolutely my favorite iron shaft ever, for me the lighter weight in the long irons are great and given I have my irons moi matched, I couldn't be happier.

Following the original thread on this site, I believe you had designed a wedge shaft to follow the progression of the weight. Can you comment on why this got scraped?

Additionally, any chance you'll release a Project X AMT?

Either way keep pushing the envelope in design, I'm really loving the new parts.

Thank you

First bravo for bring some new tech to steel shafts

1. Does the change in weight cause any swing issues on the AMT if you have a hard transition

2. Does the loading zone behave in similar manner to the graphite shaft

3. Will there be a shaft that combines these 2 technology

bonus

Can you talk a little bit about the T1100 Hzrdus

I'm playing Nippon Modus 130, how do those compare to the Project X LZ in terms of launch and spin? Thank you!

I've been playing Project X for nearly a decade. I have had a steel PX shaft in a 3 wood that worked like a champ and I've had PX in my irons the entire time. I've tried various other shafts in irons but I haven't found anything I like more. Now I have a HZRDUS Black 85 in my driver and I'm driving the ball better than I ever have. But, my irons are starting to get a little long in the tooth (or ancient in GolfWRX years) and I'm looking to replace them with a new model and maybe switch over to PX LZ or DG AMT.

For someone who loves the feel and performance of Project X, how will the Project X LZ shafts or DG AMT compare? I play PX 7.0 in my irons now. What is similar in stiffness and flight in the LZ line? Regarding the HZRDUS, is there any plan to bring that line to iron shafts? I would love to see a 110-115g iron shaft (maybe in a matte silver with blue "HZRDUS"?) with the feel and performance of the HZRDUS black wood shaft. I think it would be killer in a driving/utility iron.

Thanks!!

I'm really interested in the Project X LZ 6.5s. From the reviews I've read they seem to produce incredible ball speeds and they feel very smooth. My question is coming from DG X100 how does the dispersion compare to regular PX or DG with the increased launch and spin of the LZs?

Also, can you describe the difference in the new HZRDUS T1100 vs the HZRDUS Black?

Thanks.

I had the AMTs and loved the feel and flight in the long irons. What would I be gaining if I moved to the LZs? And how would the LZs compare to a DG AMT? Thanks

Can you tell us how these 2 shafts differ from the DG Pro model??

I was fit into the DG Pro 2 years ago, and would love to hear how either of these would fit me better.

Really have loved the idea of the AMT shafts and have been wanting to test them out.

My question is on the LZ shafts. Are they made for players that build a bigger load in their swing or will a player without much lag in their backswing get the same results out of this shaft? Also with the described construction of the shaft do these shafts produce more spin than other project X shafts?

Years ago I had a set of irons with Rifle Flighted shafts and had issues with the height of my long irons going to high and most importantly spinning too much. Since then I have got back to DG X-100 since. Not my swing speed has begun slowly decreasing, so with that said, how do the new AMT’s compare with the old Rifle Flighted shafts?

In the description above you reference a mid-trajectory launch profile with the LZ’s, however it doesn’t reference the spin profile. Where do these shafts fall compared to Project X’s as far as spin? And how do they compare to standard Dynamic Gold Shafts?
