Least number of Putts per 9

Ok now I have had several times where I have only putted just 13 times per 9 holes, never anything better but a lot of those times were when I was on the fringe not the green & you really can't count that as a putt. So what if I drove a par 4 missed my eagle & made my birdie as thats 2 putts I know but do I count a fairway hit as I only hit 4/7 fairways as the big story was I hit 9/9 GIR. I really never had a honeymoon period with my new putter a 33" Laguna 1.5 as I've putted very well with it for the 3 weeks that I've owned it. I still love my Newport 2.6 putter as this was the putter where I 1st got it down to a low 12 putts per 9 holes. Never done any better as Im not complaining at all as Im completely satisfied with both my Scotty's. I did shot a 31 on a par 36 on what I consider my home course so that makes a difference Im sure

I usually have between 27 and 33 putts in a round. I do remember a 9 hole round I played last year when I shot a 43 and 1 putted 8 times, then 3 putted the final hole. I wasnt even really focused on mechanics or anything...it was insane. 11 putts for 9 holes? yep my ole trusty JAS Anser putter. Ive been using a lot of heel shafted putter lately, but for now Im trying my way with the Betty BC1.

During the round my putts I made were from all ranges 40-6 feet. The just kept falling? It only happened once though. Maybe someday I could perform on the green like that again

I had 11 putts on 9 today, and still shot a 39. Usually when my iron play sucks my number of putts goes down due to all the chipping.

This is ironic as I had my best putts per 9 today and my best 18 and 9 hole score today. I had 10 putts on the back nine (for 26 total) with a score of 34. Went 40 34 for a 74 and my lowest score ever! (34 is a personal nine hole best as well) Made a few in the 4-8 ft range then sunk three bombs (one from off the green) in a row for three birdies in a row..THE TURKEY!! I changed my putting grip about a month ago and have really been rolling them well since. If interested their is a post from a week or two ago about my new grip. Basically turning my right hand more on top of the club to avoid a wristy stroke.

Best 18 holes this year was 26 putts, on the front I had 12 and on the back I had 14. Had 10 one putts that round and 8 two putts. My best putting round this year.
I usually average around 30 per 18 holes, good rounds mid/upper 20's.

11. I either flagged the green or missed it all together. Sank a birdie putt or chipped it close and putted out.

Not sure how it broke down per nine, but 3 years ago I had an eighteen hole round with just 19 putts. I shot 68 (too bad I'm not a better ball striker). It was in a tournament and I did have a couple of putts from the fringe which as such did not technically count as putts. Putting is the strength of my game, but I remember the hole looking like a peach basket to me that day!

Senior year of high school I hit 5 greens in regulation and shot -6 on the nine hole. 4 birdies and an eagle but the best part was that I one putted every single green. 9 putts. Stan Utley once had 6 for 9 holes.

My best ever was 11 putts for 9 holes.

This year my avarage is 32 putts per round.

10 putts in 9 for a 36 (with a triple bogey 7 mixed in there).

best putting numbers for a tournament was today: 11 front and 14 back. that 14 on the back included a 2-putt birdie and a 3-putt from when i was 6 ft from the pin on a par 3, but it was straight downhill, lipped out and rolled 25 ft away. 7 greens 2 fways. shot 3 over. strange round. 1st time i played in almost 2 months and surprisingly my short game saved me, normally thats the worst after a layoff.

10 putts for a 33 i believe. Funny thing is low 18 putting is 21 in which i shot 80 and just a few weeks ago i shot 65 with 31 putts.

I had a 12 putt 29 at my course I interned at, rolled it really well that day, but a solid ball striking day was also a contributing factor. Best 18 score was a 62, 26 putts total, I felt like I made everything that day.

This is a fun thread. My story is from some time ago, back when I played more than taught. It was New Years Day 1992 or 93 not sure. My neighbor shows up in the driveway to pick me up at 7 a.m. I'm in bed having got in at 3 a.m. 5 minutes later I'm out the door and well wounded would explain my condition.

When we get to the course in Tavares, FL we find that it is first come first out for tee times. We won't get off until about 10:30 or 11 a.m. So off to the range and putting green for an extended warm up. I tried to enter the grill but that was back when smoking was still allowed... it was like a wall and my shoes looked too clean to barf on so I stayed outside.

Longer story short we get to the tee and I pull the first shot left into the rough but got eight iron out to kick in range. Made the turn at six under with only 10 putts. None of the putts was outside 15 feet. All I thought about on the front nine was keeping breakfast inside.

The story ends with a disaster on the back nine and a finish two under for 18. Seems I either started to sober up or get more hung over, likely started thinking about a career low round .... Stinkin' Thinkin' at work.
