For the guys who don't know, Joe Miller from England is our 2010 REMAX WLDC Presented by Dicks Sporting Goods, Champion. He hit against 16 year old Domenic Mazza in the finals winning 414 to 371. Congrats Joe for the win, and to Krank for the winning head. If you're interested in seeing the finals, you can view it on ESPN3.com as it was live streamed last night on the internet, they also used ball tracker so you can follow the flight. It is available to watch as a replay, and it is free to register. So go ahead and take a look.

iirc- it will be aired again on thanksgiving on espn2 and on christmas day on espn

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WOW WHAT A SWING! What I don't understand is they say he didn't know he could hit the ball so long but what was he doing while playing golf as a 2 handicap. I mean the way they say that it's only been two months.... but he had to realize the first time he played golf that he was a little different then his average 16 year old playing partners..... LOL

a kid by the name of Justin Robinson competed in this for his first time. he made it to the 7th round, he hit 391 and kept up with Zuback. i hung out with him in orlando and am roommates with his best friend right now. it was really cool because he called us thursday night and was telling us all about it. these competitors really are insane!

It took 400+ to make it into the final four...great to watch. I love the suspense that this competition has because it only take one big drive and you never know if or when it is going to happen. I was rooting for a Mazza-Sadlowski final, but never the less, congrats to Miller on a great performance.

He has been working at our course for a month or 2 now. Good kid. Hell of a showing this year.

Yes it was 418 in the competition with Krank RAGE head, by Joe Miller, and in Last Chance Qualifying Saturday Oct. 30th, Ryan Winther hit 469 with Krank RAGE...

king kobra, Ryan Winther went 469 in an early round hitting a Krank Rage, Ryan advanced far into the competition. BTW, Joe Miller hit a 3.5* rage in winning the title. Just in case anyone asks, I don't hit krank, I'm on the Geek Golf long drive team.

I also heard there was a lot of drivers failing the testings. Which companies failed the most? And the least?

I find long drive fascinating. It's a completely different beast than the PGA.

Did you ever hear which drivers were failing? I've checked back, but did not see an answer posted.

Also, if anyone was there, did Johan Tumba compete? I did not see him on the replay, and I was wondering if he entered this year. He was very entertaining to watch last year.

It was a great competition. Saw only one shaft fail but could have been a few head failures (there always are) in the prelims. Did not see Johan. This was a really interesting Open final as the international flavor was evident with a truly multinational Final 4. Yeah, would have been nice to see Jamie and Dominic in the finals but this was Joe Millers time...really did the LD guys proud with 414 final. As they say..."The grid is clear, the clock is ready, gentlemen, play away!"

Not surprising considering how fast those guys are swinging (150+ mph). I've heard that if a driver head lasts for 250 drives then its considered to be very durable. Makes me wonder now some of us that have faster than average swing speeds but slower than LD ss's (say 120 MPH) how long would a driver head last for them?

At 120mph, a clubhead should last a pretty long time, it will probably last until you get a new driver.

I swing in the 120-125 range on a normal swing and I've used the same driver head for 4 years now. I even hit range rocks with it. I've cracked previous drivers but I still have a backup driver from 2005 if that gives you any indication. I've found that the more you hit closer to the center of the face, the longer the head will last you.

I cannot wait to try and qualify for this.... I have a buddy who has tried a few times and he talked me into it. I am a bit longer then him I just dont have the drivers he does yet.

No No Krank All the way...ie 2010 finals.....1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th. 12 out of top 24 Krank, Seniors, 1st, 4th.....Had a hitter in all division finals.....with 3 out of 5 World Champions.....Missed 4th by last ball....haha i can go on and on and on and on.......plus Grid Record at 469....Winther just hit 237 ball speed at PGA show, 228 ball speed in Fujikura Enso booth with Fuji USA Pres right there and their whole R&D dept....
