GIVEAWAY: Limited Edition Augusta MyJoys - 5 FootJoy Winners!!

Recommended Posts

Great giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity FJ and GolfWrx. I will need a size 11.

I've only walked twice. Once was a par 3 course (does that count?) with my best friend, his 4 year old daughter and my 4 year old daughter (they are best friends). Needless to say this would be my favorite due to the playing partners. No big highlights for me from actually swinging the club, but my daughter did sink some really nice putts. The only other time I walked a course was at East Lake in Atlanta (nice place to have my "first time"). It was awesome! I played there with a couple clients and our fourth was a former Tight-end at UCLA who now runs a wine label with some friends. It was a great experience and we walked away with a nice bottle of wine. The best part were the caddies. They were a tremendous help, very friendly and funny. They made the experience far and away one of the best.

Thanks for the contest! I wear a size 10.5.

I grew up playing with my dad. It took 28 years of my life to finally beat him. Unfortunately, it was the last time we were able to play together. I injured my back and had to take a break from the game for a long while. Now, my dad's eyesight doesn't allow him to play any more. I miss those days.

Size: 12 D

Very cool shoes and thanks for the offer!

My favorite memory was the 1st time my brother and I got to play the Ocean Course at Kiawah. Our mom had scrimped and saved to give us each a round there for Christmas. First time we ever had caddies and just an awesome piece of property to be on. I honestly don't really remember what we shot but just being to play that course with him was so cool.

My best memory walking a golf course was when my grandfather, my mom, and I all walked this small nine-hole course in Massachusetts. None of us were in our prime in terms of athletic ability, but I will never forget the round. The course was empty. We don't live close to each other so this was a pretty rare moment. My mom holed out from 60yds on the first hole for a birdie, so I knew the round would be special. I had my first birdie ever (I was only 11). It was the last time all three of us played together. When you ride, it takes away from the game.

Great contest. Sign me up and I'm a size 9.5 or 10 if possible.

awwwwww yeaaaaaa

size 8.5 please

my favorite memory of walking a golf course was was the first time my dad took me to a full size course (i had played on the local par 3 for a few years). I must have been 6 or 7 years old. It was a really "rustic" public course called tall timbers. I remember that it started raining really hard on #8. We huddled under a tree while the rain passed. My dad asked me if I wanted to finish all 18 or go in after #9....of course we finished all 18. We were soaked but i diddnt care.

So shiny. In it to win it 10.5M Gotta love Footjoys.

My favorite experience walking a course had to be in High school. Our home course was the OGA Member's Course and doing it with a group on the team was such a great and sometimes brutal experience. From comments such as "You really hit that one with your purse Sally!" to "Get in the hole Sputnik! (We had a Russian team mate that loved when I would do my Russian accent for him). Being able to walk the course provided plenty of time for hi-jinks.

[b]One of my favorite memories was walking nine holes barefoot on the fourth of July about 25 years ago. Another golfer and I took a few girls out on the course showing them what the game was all about. It was very casual and fun. I remember playing pretty well in spite of not wearing shoes. Maybe since I didn't have shoes on I couldn't really swing out of them! :drinks:

Walking up to the green with my dad and grandpa at my grandpa's home club on the par 3 fifth. His tee shot was wedged between the hole and the flagstick, and he had his first hole-in-one. July fourth to boot! Good luck everyone!!:coolpics:

In case you need a size I'll take 10.5 wide please. Thanks for the chance!

My favorite memory occurred in April 2011. We arrived at Bandon Dunes Resort. We first played Pacific Dunes. After completing the first hole, we walk up to the tee box for hole #2. It was sunny. The course and the Pacific Ocean opened up before my eyes...it was a wondrous sight and a start of an awesome guy's golf trip.

Bavarian Hills Golf Club, St. Marys, PA. First time playing golf with my dad, brother, and sister after the recent passing of my mother. There weren't many highlights at that point in time in our lives so the same was on the golf course no one had a hole-in-one or really any spectacular shots. Just had the enjoyment of playing golf with my family, something this game has given me in my short 18 years of living. Golf was a family activity for my family every weekend we would tee off at 8 am and watch golf when it came on tv. That round of golf was the first round that we played together without my mom and I'll never forget walking off the first tee and not hearing "Nice drive buddy" no matter if I split the fairway or quack hooked one 50 yards left. Watching me shoot 100 or 75 made no difference to her she just enjoyed watching her husband and 3 kids spending time together in the one place that we all love.

My twin brother and I grew up playing on a small golf course in central Massachusetts. We'd go out on Friday afternoons and play 9 holes with our dad. As the sun would start to go down over the horizon, we'd all hole out our putts on the last hole. It remains to this day one of my favorite family memories of golf. Wouldn't trade it for the anything. Thanks! Oh, Size 10.5 shoe

My favorite moment walking a golf course didn't happen while I was playing. It was 2008 and I just got back from a deployment to Iraq. I had signed up to volunteer for The Barclays and was fortunate to select Walking Scorers as my role/position. On the first tournament round, which happened to be my birthday, I was an alternate for anyone who didn't or couldn't make it. When everyone had checked in, the committee chair said to me, "Since this is your first time doing this, why don't you go with one of our more experienced scorers. He's walking with Weekley, O'Hair and Furyk." Words left my mouth, but I can't for the life of me remember what they were. Probably something like, "Uh... um... OK!" Talk about a memorable round and great birthday present. They all played under par on a tough course. This was my first real exposure to how good these guys really are and how much your impression of them can be warped by only what you see on TV. Later in that tournament, I scored for Nick Watney who further shattered my impression of professional golfers as cold impersonal machines. He also showed me that just because someone isn't spotlit on TV, doesn't mean they don't have an amazing game. That tournament, and every one I've volunteered at since has kept me coming back year after year and further deepened my love for this great game.

Victoria National, with Tina Mickelson, Eddie Payton & Alan Heiser, 1998, Tina and Eddies first time to Victoria National and both lost out on bets that they would be in the 70's... Tina also brought us all the Prototype ProV 1 from Titleist that Phil had been given to practice with before it was approved, it was just a white ball no lettering and the box was just a plain white box, I thought I was in heaven... Great round with great friends....
