People watch this yt stuff because it's essentially free. Very, very few people would pay to watch GH or any other yt golf "celebrity".

And he could still make plenty of content about it. If he played ok, it would be huge for him. The only logical conclusion, imo, is he doesn’t want to risk shooting an embarrassing number.

But the shelf life is limited. How many wacky variations of 'Grant playing golf' will entertain people? Look at it this way: If a network like CBS or NBC elected to show a Grant YT video for 10 or 15 min during Sat or Sun coverage....people would go apeshytt. And not in a good way. YT views are not indicative of what some people think they are indicative of.

Completely agree. It's the planning how to win that i find appealing. The actual winning is often a let down almost. Or at least not as exciting as one might imagine. I wonder if Rory has been struggling with how to maintain the joy in the process or if there is even joy in the process now that he's won the Masters.

If he went out and embarrassed himself it might do more harm to his brand than whatever gain he'd get from a routine MC.

I'd probably pass on the box set at costco but I think any modern set of clubs will do you well enough. That is assuming you are not very tall/short or have a particularly unorthodox swing or build. On the other hand, a basic fitting is often free or nearly free with purchase. I don't think you need to hit up TPI at moment.

The local munis are good filler for us DC area folk between rounds in Frederick. 10-15 min drive or 45min to an hour...and we get a decent discount 25 or 50% depending on how much we want to fork over on Jan 1. I think for $750 (?) upfront, its 50% off fees and carts. And I think older guys get 30% off for just being old. 😂 Fair review though.

Definitely, we only get 6 - 10 weeks of this really. Less some years but this summer has been really sticky and fairly hot. But S. TX is another planet. But we also a month or so of too cold to play and 2 additional months of too cold to play but we play anyway with 6 layers on.
