Sure….but does he get the free path relief? Let me spin it this way. If there was an electrical box out of bounds and it interfered with stance or swing at a ball in bounds would the player get relief? Or a wire supporting a newly planted tree out of bounds…wire is also out of bounds…free relief because of stance?

Any product no matter how rigorous the testing can fail on rare occasion. Doesn’t mean they now are an inferior brand or product.

Right Hand, Right Eye Dominant Golfers
Shilgy replied to iceman1118's topic in Instruction & Academy
My understanding has always been Jack used it as a trigger…like Player kicked in his right knee. So of course we were all taught to do that or at least felt we should mimic the best. Problem is it “fit” Jack being left eye dominant. IMO the problem is most-I wanted to say “all” but will stick with most- players their head will turn slightly with the backswing. So if you’re right eye dominant…add the Jack trigger…and then let the head go a bit more with the backswing you are needing to lose the view with your dominant eye and then your brain wants to regain it on the forward swing. -

Hawk…I think all of us that grew up in Jack’s era did that head move….which didn’t help me either being R eye dominant. -

Of course then so was Phil. Although I’m guessing SS doesn’t play as loosely with his money. -

Umm..Scottie just turned 29 a couple weeks ago…he just looks old. 😏
-
Please explain how Rory can do that. He’s in the group right in front of Scheffler so won’t even have finished 1 when Scottie tees off..🤔

I take it you mean if you swing from the other side your perception based on front/rear eye is the dominant one changes. Swinging right or left does not change which of your eyes is dominant. Also…what do you look at when you swing? -

And that makes it sound better than it is. An ACTIVE LIV player has won two majors by my count. Koepka and BDC. Rahm and Smith both won their majors before joining LIV. -
I wonder how many years will go by before the last “where to find Lamkin grips” thread is posted?

I particularly do that when putting. Tend to aim right when just taking stance . Often feels then like I’m aimed way left but trust the spot and roll the ball over that. -

Problem is you’re being dismissive of folks with the same tendency having different results. I’m RH and right eye dominant. Play with a neutral grip and a slight draw. If you want to discuss this you should not just toss folks out of the club if they have different experiences. -
By most accounts he has a NEW knee injury. Not the one that led to his move to LIV. Killer instinct and all that competitive fire missed three cuts in four majors this year.

If he can maintain his current pace at The Open he’ll have a Grand Slam of cuts missed this year. He’s already retired…just hasn’t announced it yet. -
I whole heartedly agree with the posts saying the result when attempting to build up a standard to mimic midsize does not work great for arthritis due to increasing firmness. I will add as well that is will also just feel like a built up standard due to the butt end still basically feeling standard. At least that has been my experience when adding four wraps.

Just used the Crossline 2.0 myself for the first time today. I’ve been a long time user of the Lamkin version but decided to bit the bullet and make the switch now. First impression is they are definitely NOT slick. They are a bit softer than the old Crossline and as mentioned a few posts above they seem to be a hair smaller under the top hand but less taper….+4 wraps on the bottom hand is what they say they are. I'll likely get used to them but I always liked the old versions firmness and durability.

IMO the Titleist T100 is more of a forgiving iron than the Wilson CB. CB is a bit smaller and thinner profile. That said I think your plan sounds valid….just need to learn to harness the swing speed into a full game. Give it time…in this game 18 months is nothing. At the rate you’re improving the T100 and CB wouldn’t be an issue. edited to add the Srixon mentioned above are very solid as well.

And Wilson….and Wilson doesn’t even have the “too loud” excuse.

Seems mighty odd to me that this thread is the ONLY mention of this online. 🎣

I will add to @Yuck what is a “solid am”? 2025 Arizona Amateur Strokeplay scoring. 72.2/130 https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/5082063

Yeah…I didn’t read @mosesgolf as sarcasm either. Great minds and all that.🤩
