  1. yeah, SS definitely needs something to bring him back to competiveness ... he's totally burned out ... deperately needs to talk with Jack at this point ... or was this post a troll? ...
  2. do like a husky voice from a woman ...
  3. there are a couple of WH waitresses at my local I wouldn't mind having a bacan/egg/no cheese sw on white bread with ...
  4. i agree ... i get it ... would love to see yesterday's equipment be the standard ... but you really think SS is going to suffer more than others? ... he bends it both ways, uses trajectory, has a great short game and is probably a much longer version of Trevino than just about anyone has ever been ... or a less talented version of Tiger ... Rory usually chooses to hit a high draw if he has no other shot ... look at yesterday's round ... several par fours SS hits the right shape with the right traj to the pin ... but, yeah, if I won a big version of the lottery, I'd want to offer up a tournament with yesterday's equipment, even if only for amateurs ... would love to see that ...
  5. lol ... not really, by any objective observation ... recognizing SS as the best iron player since Tiger doesn't detract from Brooks' accomplishments ... someone has to be the second best iron player since Tiger ... Brooks' manhood hasn't been diminshed at all ... the stats bear it out ...
  6. prolly been the late 80s since we saw the double necklace with such flair ... those were the days ...
  7. weak azz shiite commentary ... "very unfortunate incident" at oakmont by clark ...
  8. it's his swing, bro ... he's an artist ... that's why he's winning ...
  9. I think everyone realizes how neat it would be to have that, but I also think everyone thinks the outcome wouldn't be different ... if anything, SS would be winning bigger with those clubs/ball ...
  10. ok ... stinky tinned fish, then ... not sure how a football team would react ... think i probably know ... some close friends of Scandinavian ancestry tried to get me into tinned fish ... they're wonderful people, though ... spaun has vaulted up the world rankings this year ... he's playing well ... would take Spaun over Gotterup, but I like new blood, so I don't mind captain's choices being noveau ...
  11. I imagine if you had 10-12 Gotterup's on a hs football team to play lb/fb/hb/dl and whatnot, you'd come pretty close to winnnig a state title or two ... and you'd get a lot of homemade italian food, so there'd be that ...
  12. GOLF.com article: Scottie Scheffler played with Tiger Woods in the final round of the 2020 Masters. He learned one important thing, and it’s become his superpower.“He’s won so many golf tournaments, and he makes a 10 on No. 12 at Augusta, and he birdies five of the last six holes and, I mean, it’s completely meaningless to him; at that stage in his career, what’s the point? And for him just to step up there and completely turn it around — and I kid you not, he hit still to this day three of the best iron shots I’ve ever seen hit coming into those last few holes. It was just unbelievable to watch.“I just learned a lot by watching him. I mean, the way he competes in this game is different than a lot of players. He puts everything he has into every shot that he hits on the golf course, which I think is a really underrated skill out here. Like when he steps over a ball, at any moment in the golf tournament, whether it’s his first shot on Thursday or the last shot on Sunday, I feel like he is as into it as he could possibly be. I just learned that from watching him, the way he read greens, the way he approached pitch shots and iron shots and tee shots. There was never a moment in that round where he wasn’t going at it a thousand percent, which is a lot easier I think said than done.” and people think his little philosophical discussion about the importance of golf think he's burned out and/or washed up ...
  13. it's revisionist history ... errbody on here talking about 'boring' seem to recall they were glued to the set when Tiger had a 2 or 3 stroke lead Sat night and came out on Sunday and shot another 2 or 3 under and won by 4 or so ... or thinking Tiger was 4 behind and hit Tigeresque shots to draw even and eventually win ... it's bogus ...
  14. with the blue pullover, no less! them swedes no fashion!
  15. internet winner today, folks! ... thanks for playing ...
  16. i guess every golfer coming off the course is standing two steps below Cara? ... tall, pretty British woman who talks golf ...
  17. seems some guy named Scottie does the same thing ... draw/cut with three trajectories ... us amateurs see this ... shame the mad "scientist" doesn't ... well ... not really a 'shame', is it? ...
  18. Links golf is good? Links golf is right? Links golf works? Links golf clarifies?
  19. i mean this in the most admirable way, but harris english looks like the guy who works for the cia and decides to just "clean up the mess" ...
  20. ffs, Rory ... hit a damned cut shot ...
