  1. Your first instinct is incorrect. The shaft is important but for different reasons than people think.
  2. Seguto’s closed face at P6 is legendary, but if you hit a scoopy slice and can’t pressure left…..he will take you to the promised land.
  3. Handle way forward with an obscenely steep AOA…..and big trench left behind…..and wrist surgery later.
  4. Give the guy a break! He's trying to unlearn the smother hook he's been teaching people all this time. He doesn't mind teaching it, but he doesn't want to actually do it himself. My favorite is when he hits a trapped diving 7 iron on his channel and says, "Wow, that was crispy!"
  5. Fitting can make quite a bit of difference for some people and none for others; really depends on the individual situation. One thing I don't like is when fitters get out of their lane. There is one guy here in this forum that I know is a club fitter but gives a bunch bad swing advice trying to make people think he's an actual instructor. He needs to leave the swing advice to the experts and go back to his fitting bay, where he can talk about "kick point" and other things that don't matter.
  6. I don’t think anything should be changed. His swing was pure.
  7. His actual COM, or the Morad upper torso “cog”?
  8. The bottom line is you have to find a way for a player to scrape the ground in the same place, with the same handle lean, and the same AOA. Taking someone that isn’t highly skilled, coordinated, without alot of time to practice, I don’t start with making them fall their chest toward the target. They’ll just stub it and then skull it.
  9. Release the head and shoulders up into a more vertical finish after the ball is gone. Don’t do anything before the ball, because the guy was an unbelievable ball striker.
  10. I don’t see how the explanation can be much simpler.
  11. But actually, “considering” that won’t change the swing at all.
  12. Since miller has an awesome pelvis movement, and canceling upper body hang back is more sternum (after it’s all over at impact), wouldn’t it be a matter of the opposite? IE, sternum goes more lateral from P8 to P10 to stand up the finish.
  13. Why are we looking for a smaller circle? Agree with the radius control part. Also, a lot of the reason the sternum shifts target ward for better players in transition is because of what the pelvis turn does naturally with a narrow stance. For some amateurs, trying to get them to artificially move toward the target, especially if they do it the wrong way…..will have them ready to quit the game.
  14. But, in which direction do you mean that?
  15. He wasn’t a hitter, he was a trapper.
  16. The head rides on top of the pivot. Your pivot currently sets you up to hit a shallow push hook. Set up your pivot to produce a trappy pull cut and let your head ride on top of that.
  17. Its in the fine print. Clause B, paragraph C.
