  1. Yep. You can set your watch to it. Camera cuts to an obscure player sixteen shots back over a 35’ putt. (Gee whiz I wonder what is gonna happen here?) Putt goes in. Shocking, I know. “Wow! What a putt! Amazing! Absolutely! I mean, he literally MADE that putt, didn’t he? Absolutely! Did you ever see such a great putt? Absolutely not!” Nope. Never in my life have I seen a 35’ putt happen to go in. 🙄 I do like Kisner, I appreciate his knowledge of the game played at this level and he really seems to enjoy what he is doing and keeps it light without being a clown. I’m not sure if Kiz was responsible for the massive F 💣 on the hot mic today or if that was Bones, but it sure was funny. 😂
  2. This. Part of the deal, being the organizer. OP, the guy who runs the game has to have the direct, firm, polite discussion with him. As long as there is zero exaggeration / hyperbole and zero room for interpretation / selective memory, it will work.
  3. The reason he could not see that ball move….he was looking away. No one is lying or being dishonest. He was asked if he saw it move, I’m confident he said no, so that should be the end of it.
  4. I think it was Bones with the bomb.
  5. Eh, I don’t have a problem with it. The discretion is for the player. Don’t do anything that might make it move.
  6. Oh no doubt. Sorry, my expectation was for the over dramatics on the broadcast. Forgot Morgan P. is not on the mic so we are safe.
  7. Excellent. Look forward to at least 100 replays and 10,000 words of hyperbole about it.
  8. Rory is the best driver of the golf ball since Nicklaus and it is not particularly close.
  9. I think it’s about situational awareness. I’m not going to go out there with tees, mirror, chalk line, etc. at prime time when the putting green is busy. But if I am there obviously practicing something at one hole when it’s not busy, the one other guy on the green doesn’t need to putt to every hole.
  10. Dang Bryson….Patrick Reed and Wyndham Clark and Padraig Harrington and Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood and Justin Leonard beat you! 😂
  11. Impossible! 😂 It was a long time ago, and absolute craziness….I could not contain my laughter and had to keep turning away mid-shove, then walk quickly away post impact so the laughter wasn’t obvious enough to be obnoxious. 😂😂
  12. Many, many years ago I got paired up with someone who sounded like he was…..straining…..😯💩 while over the shot before he took it back. 😂
  13. Lol, no kidding. There has been discussion on this forum of using a rangefinder ON the green. 😆 That is insanity! Do that in the groups I play in and it would get merciless.
  14. Sweet! How are stairs going if you don’t mind me asking? Even now six years on, I have to be really careful going down stairs. You get your final prosthesis in a few weeks, right? That’s tremendous.
  15. This is well articulated. There is nothing codified that a golfer can’t have a great time, enjoy the experience, AND be almost single-minded on executing the next shot. Wanting to excel…and frankly, wanting to beat your opponent’s hide…doesn’t mean you have to grind for 4h. The guys who can do that are unicorns and are getting paid to play golf. The rest of us enjoy the experience in between shots, then it’s game on when it’s time to play. The camaraderie is the best, but make no mistake, I want to step on your throat when I’m over the ball. After that’s over, 19th hole bourbon time.
  16. It’s helpful I’ve found, but imperfect. The issue I find is sunscreen and my nasty-azz sweaty funk around the collar.
  17. True statement! I carry the bare minimum when I walk. Sunscreen gets applied in the locker room, no need to carry that. One ball in play, one sleeve in the bag. Sometimes a second sleeve, but not at my home club since lost balls aren’t really an issue there. I’ve seen guys with 24+ balls in a lightweight carry bag….in which case the bag is no longer light…Come on man! Range finder, greens book. Rain hood and rain gear stay in the locker unless rain is forecasted. Umbrella only on a push cart, I’m not carrying that thing, ever. Couple PB&Js and a small bag of trail mix. Back on topic, I haven’t found a bag that is ideal for riding, pushing, and carrying. Too many compromises with the all-in-one, and it’s worth having a great carry bag and a great cart bag. The Sync really is great for ridding and pushing — it’s not huge and heavy, and the club dividers are well thought out
  18. 10-4. 👍🏼 I was always reluctant to swap bags unless the player had a beast of a bag. Glad your experience was good, love the Streamsong courses.
  19. Dang. Sorry to hear that….and glad you avoided some of the other injuries that can come from taking a digger like that (wrists, elbows…) and if you don’t need surgery on the shoulder that is 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. Going downhill is the worst. I’m 49 and had a major series of injuries a few years ago — greatly diminished lower body. I have to be really careful going downhill but man, the competitive juices get the better of everyone.
  20. I use Oxyclean spray gel around the collar. It’s acceptable, but white golf shirts end up more trouble than they are worth for this reason.
  21. The SM 2.5 really is the king of carry bags, no argument there. I use two bags as well. Hoofer Lite for carrying. Sun Mountain Sync for riding or pushing…this really is the best solution. Fighting with a carry bag on a push or riding cart is a pain. However…I’m a retired caddie and unless you showed up with a totally unsuitable cart or staff bag, there is NO WAY I would switch my player to my bag. You had a Titleist carry bag, no problem with that at all. I wouldn’t have made a fuss about it, but the caddie was rude and out of order….typical for that bunch down there.
  22. I think it would work out OK with our four guys and the four missus, because the four missus all know each other (not well, but enough) and they get along great. But I’m not volunteering to coordinate logistics for that. On the other hand, traveling solo for golf….I just do not think I could enjoy myself that way. Way, way too many solo biz trips early in my career, and the thought of that many meals alone, just not for me I don’t think. I am totally fine getting paired up, but I would miss the camaraderie and ball busting that happens in a group that’s been friends for decades.
